I've been to the Kew Gardens Cinema a couple of times. I've always had a pleasant experience. They…read moreshow films that not many other theaters in NYC show. I came here on Friday to see the new Ralph Fiennes film that no other theater in NY was playing! Very easy to get to. The Kew Gardens LIRR stop is right across the street. Several buses stop in the area. Along with the F and E trains. Its a very old school cinema. The prices reflect that as well. For a 2 PM Friday showing I only paid $10. That's a steal. You can either buy tickets at the concessions stand or just scan your ticket from Fandango, etc. at the concessions stand and they'll print out your ticket. You really don't need it, though. The bathrooms are to the left when you come in. Lots of stalls with a long mirror across the entire wall. Everything was fairly clean and tidy. There's also a little area before the bathroom where you can sit and wait if you're early. I was in auditorium 5 the last time I was here. Which is on the second floor. The size of the theaters are on the smaller size, but not cramped. The seats are outdated and a bit flimsy, but not uncomfortable. They don't show millions of adverts and previews like other places do. The screens expand before the movie starts. Good sound and picture. The entire place is decorated with a vintage vibe. I love it. Everyone was friendly and they dont search your purses like other places do. I will definitely be back!

Glad to see Kew Gardens Cinema still around post-pandemic! The $5 Wednesday tickets with no…read morerestrictions are a steal. It's an old-school theater with charm, comfy, padded stadium seats in Theater 3 and assigned seating is a nice touch. The bathrooms are outdated (push-button sinks felt unhygienic), and there's no parking lot, but street parking was easy on a weekday night. They don't run late-night shows, but for the price and atmosphere, it's worth a visit.

TEP deserves more than 5 stars for the amazing start to finish service we experienced on our 7 day…read moreadventure to Peru to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. From the time we signed up, to the time we boarded the plane to return home, TEP took care of every detail. We commented amongst ourselves that we felt like kids on vacation with our parents, as we didn't have to worry about any of the details - just show up and follow Neptali (our guide). From airport pickup in Cusco in luxury Mercedes vans where we were promptly served Coca tea to help with the altitude acclimation, to group dinners at amazing Peruvian restaurants, to historical tours and education on the history of the Inca - everything was covered and taken care of for us. And that was all before the amazing trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu! Of course the trek itself was the highlight of the trip, and although it was extremely challenging for us, TEP's unbelievable attention to detail did not fail us on the trail. With nearly a 2:1 porter to trekker ration, our every need was met on the trail. We dined like kings every meal, and were consistently amazed with the quality (and nutritional appropriateness) of the food our chef and sous chef were able to put out with minimal kitchen conveniences. The thing I felt was most special about TEP's approach to this trip was the focus on gaining a cultural and historical appreciation for what we were experiencing. Every step along the way, we learned about the native people of Peru, the Inca civilization, the many ruins we came across, the vegetation we saw and how it was and is used, and the history of modern Peru. It was the trip of a lifetime, and have the help of The Explorer's Passage made it so much more enjoyable, and so much more memorable. The value of what they provide is amazing for the cost....rather, for the investment. I highly recommend them!

Christine took our list of things we wanted to do and see and organized it so that way we weren't running back and forth all over the city. Another awesome thing Christine did was take photos and videos of everything so that we could be present but still have memories. I would recommend her to anyone. That's when you know you're not only with a local, but you're with a beloved member of the community. Her energy is infectious and everyone loves her. When 2 of my closest friends relocated to NYC, I knew the perfect "housewarming" gift (that wouldn't take up space in their apartment!). She was in contact with them beforehand and customized their itinerary. They LOVED it and admitted that Christine shed new light on things they thought they knew and showed them places they had no idea existed. They were in NYC often before relocating and were married in Central Park several years ago! Christine can WOW anyone from the first time to the frequent visitor. Just Ask Christine for yourself. Or a friend. Even if you think you "know" NYC, you'll still be impressed.

Emily helped me pull together a special gift and we had the first tour today. Emily is a remarkably talented guide, combining both incredible knowledge with a gift for storytelling. We spent several hours today at the Met with Emily and she was able to make the tour interesting and engaging for both my wife, who has background in art history, and myself, an art novice. Emily deftly crafted an itinerary based on my wife's favorite types of art while also bringing to life pieces that we'd previously have walked by without any second thought. Truly cannot recommend Emily more highly enough. We have two more tours with her and are so, so excited.
