5 stars all around. Marqees is very timely with his communication. He was the quickest to respond, as well as the most consistent until I was ready for the project. He was knowledgeable about the lights we chose to have installed and took the time to show my wife the app and how to navigate. The power adapter that came with the light was not working, however from his experience he was confident with what the issue was and guided us how to get the part. The installation of the lights is very clean and straight. I have recommended him for other installations as well. Keep in mind if you want your lights hidden a 1x4 will have to be installed to your rafter tails in order to hide the lights behind the fascia. If you want a more traditional holiday light affect install the lights at the bottom of the fascia board. That is what we went with. read more

I've been saying I was going to have my holiday lights professionally installed for a while, but never did. This year I decided was the year. I messaged King lighting after 8 PM not expecting to hear from them until the next day. 10 minutes later, I got a request for my address and got the quote. after setting up a time and date for the lighting installation, Marquis arrived on time and quickly and efficiently install the lights when leaving he said he would take them down the first two weeks of January. I was very impressed with king lighting, but decided not to write the review but to wait and see if he did come the first two weeks of January to take the lights down. Today is January 13 and Marquise removed my lights just as quickly and efficiently as he had put them up, taking. care to remove the use shaped staples from the house and using a magnet to remove them from my patio and driveway. I will use this company again next holiday season. Severe lack of communication. Never gives a proper day and time to show, you need to constantly remind him. HE PUT LIGHTS ON THE WRONG TREE AND LEFT THE PROPERTY WITHOUT EVEN TALKING TO ME, NO GOODBYE OR INDICATION HE WAS FINISHED. Then when it came time to take down the lights, had to remind him again about them. Gives me vague dates and times (example this last time he said he would be here Tuesday or Wednesday) I told him on Wednesday I have an appointment from 12-2, I didn't hear back from him at all after this. Tuesday comes along, don't hear from him or see him. Wednesday comes around and I ask if he will coming today, he tells me he will show up between 3-4. He doesn't even show up at the time he said, calls me up at 2:15 and tells me hes in front of my house, when I wasn't home, he knew I had an appointment!!! Even after on the phone we talked and he acknowledged that I will be home around 3, the time he quoted, so I can give him the boxes and bags he needs to put everything away nicely. When I get home, he's gone and everything is in a pile. He refuses to come back to finish his services, said he refused to wait the 30 minutes for me to get there to give him the boxes and bags. He decided to come 45 minutes early. Its not my fault he came outside the agreed window, like every other time he was here to install the lights. I advice to not hire this person, he doesn't care and in a rush to finish so he can get paid. If you do hire this guy, don't pay him by Venmo or cash, you have zero protection. Pay him by PayPal so you are protected for 6 months after you sent him the money. He was pushing really hard to be paid by cash or Venmo, now I know why. I definitely agree with the other negative review about Marqees, communication is the worst I have seen in my life, that speaks volumes. ​​​​ Edit: after reading some reviews, I find it interesting Marqees will respond to negative comments and he has a bit of an additude, instead of showing a professional image. Pay attention, thats a window on his additude about his service. He'll probably say something in response to my review to spin it in a way that he is not at fault for this terrible service. read more

Talk about service! I requested a quote from YELP and that day I had King Lighting put up Christmas lights on our home. Marquees and his helper (sorry didn't get his name) were here, I told them how/where I wanted the lights installed, they immediately went to work. In a while they had the lights installed and were working. The two of them made a good team and quickly had all the lights installed. I've been hesitant to hire a Christmas light installed but NOW have no problems calling Marquees to do it NEXT YEAR!
