They just opened a new Elementary School for the children and they support sending kids to summer camp with scholarships.

It's held in the Legacy International Center in Mission Valley and the facility is incredible. From the moment you step foot on the property you will be welcomed with a sincere passion. The people are so inviting and not that fake "churchy" kind of thing, it's authentic. The worship team was powerful, the preaching is challenging in the best way and I love going to a church that has a goal to see our faith in God grow. The Kid's team is great. They greet every child before the parents and I love that. The rooms are clean and there are plenty of people in each one to take care of the kids. It's a newer church but the future is bright. After the service I asked Pastor Stephanie if she could pray for me. This was a woman I have never met and she had also never met me before. This was the first and last interaction I had with her. I asked her for prayer for "Work Stabilization." She then told me that the reasons why I always have problems with people at work and the reasons why I can never last long in a job is because my sexuality was the problem and she was validating the negative behavior of people I work with. I never told her anything about my sexuality and I never told her anything about my personal life. I simply just asked her that I always have issues with people at work and that I have problems keeping a job and therefore I wanted prayer for Work Stabilization. She then started to defend and validate the negative behavior of my co-workers and she told me she was not going to pray for me because of the way I am and that she wasn't gonna pray for someone who is like me and that she didn't want to pray for me about my problems with work because I needed to "repent of my sin" and that I didn't deserve her prayer. I felt so horrible on the inside and was truly disturbed and disgusted by her obnoxious nature. I knew exactly what she was referring to and it hurt me so deeply. She was so blunt, mean, ruthless, and was being so ignorant homophobic. I was disgusted by her behavior and words. I have never returned to this church and never will. She's wickedly conservative and ignorant. I honestly don't know how she's even a Minister?

They have camera guys trying to get every angle of the music opening, and pastor Jeremy that won't give most people the time of day. Security also acts like they have authority over you and act like the pastor is their God. The Bible verses they go over are for people with low attention spans because the explaining feels more like a ted talk. I liked it at first with the cafe, the clean seats, you can even drink coffee and sit whenever (you can literally order in the middle of service) and there's air conditioning. Many times I heard Skylines Pastors in their sermons say you can't hide anything from God! But I later discovered that the Wesleyan Disapline includes the use of Non Disclosure Statements. Are Non Disclosures even biblical? Don't Non Disclosures suppress the truth, hide misconduct and contradict Christian theology? I often heard What Would Jesus Do on Skylines campus! Well, would Jesus use Non Disclosure Statements? I have tried to talk to members of Skylines current staff and Wesleyan Headquarters regarding NDAs and I felt like I just got the run around and I don't think they handled things properly!
