I was required to take my 8 month old niece to her Kinder Musik classes a few times (as mama was unable to). Kinder Musik is a class/activity that runs once a week for children. It is heavily based on music, singing and dancing. When I went, we started the class by sitting in a circle and singing songs together. We would hold up the children and wiggle their arms and legs to the music, tap their feet and swing them side-to-side. It was a very small class that I was a part of, maybe only 5-8kids(5-8adults), but being in a small group was great as a friendship is easily formed. It's great to see the babies interacting with other babies, and the music and activities really seem to get their brains moving. Some activities include banging on a drum, reading books and dancing in a circle. The teacher (lovely old lady) is extremely friendly and great with kids. She remembers everyone's name and doesn't make you feel stupid for singing out loud.
