First time here. You guys are getting a 1 star not for the food but this the worst frozen margarita ive ever had, considering this is my fiances order and my fiances recommended resto in the area. The food is above average, but for 194*++ and after the complain everyone has ignored our resquest. If your your looking for crushed ice with a hint hint of lime, this is your go to cocktail place. What a big disappointment!

* Price: nothing over 400 peso or $8 USD. The portion is good for family style! 5 star. * Ambiance: casual, local style with large screen TVs out side and inside. Open-air restaurant. 4 star. * location: main street of Puerto Pincessa. Plenty parking at the front lot. 4 star. * Meals: tasty, large menu, Filipino food! 4 star. * service: excellent, fast. 4+ star. This is averaged to 4+ star! Came here with friends and family. Our uncle is their regular customer here so we got table right away. It was a Sunday night and the place is packed with tourists and locals! This place probably is more popular since it was featured on Travel Channel with Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre food Philippines episode! The food is very tasty and exotic! - Kinilaw, 180 peso or $3+ USD: tuna ceviche. The fish is slightly cooked, big cubic piece, tender and moist, soaked in fish sauce, lime, green mango, lemon grass, chilly pepper, cilantro... It is a perfect combination of savory, fresh, salty, sweet, and spicy! It is definitely my favorite dish here! - Dinakdakan, 180 peso or $3+ USD: pig ears, tongue, liver with calamansi sauce. I am a bit perplexed about the dish... Ear and tongue is crunchy... It is a bit too exotic for me! - Croc sisig: It is tasted like pork but more fattening, sizzling with eggs. It actually is tasty if you can get passed the croc part! - Pansit: glass noodles with pork. It is tasty and simple dish... I think my friends felt bad for ordering exotic dishes and ordered this for me...! - Bulalo, 285 peso or $5+ USD: bone marrow in onion broth soup. It is very different... Definitely acquired taste! Overall, it should be on your list to check out if you are visiting Palawan! My food experience is definitely enhanced after our meal here! Thumb up!

It's a nice outdoor restaurant, relaxing atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. I tried Tamilok(special wood warm) 3$ and tuna ceviche 6$!!! Tamilok wasn't my favorite and ceviche was spicy but pretty good and fresh. I also tried watermelon shake which was delicious..

CHILL VIBE & TASTY EATS! By word of mouth, this was recommended by a few of the locals of Puerto Princesa City. So where we gonna go our first night not sabotaged by jet lag??? KINABUCH'S! Motor trikes get our family here from the hotel in no time (REALLY fun experience for my sons!) and we seat ourselves. It's an outdoor seating arrangement and no smoking restrictions in place in this country yet, sadly. Luckily we were upwind from the fumes. We were recognized & given menus & drinks rather promptly. However, to order, we had to flag our server down cuz his disappearing magic trick worked too well ;) Surprisingly, there was quick preparation of food & delivery! Sooo, let's eat! *CROC SISIG: THIS is what brought us here after the locals challenged me to eat this local delicacy. Prepared appropriate as far as a Sisig dish should be, with a nice lil kick to it. Crocodile tastes like pork or chicken so not much of a challenge really. Yummy stuff! *LUMPIA SHANGHAI: Solid preparation with a good quantity for everyone to share. I REALLY like it with suka't bawang & that was easily provided. I could eat this all the time :) *BISTEK TAGALOG: This was good when it first came out and it was hot & steamy, but because of the cool humid weather the dish got cold pretty fast & the beef became tough and more effort to eat. *ADOBONG PUSIT: Wifey's favorite Filipino dish. Unfortunately wasn't up to snuff for her or her mom. Too chewy. If it's too chewy, you don't know how to cook it they said! Hah! Fun time & that ginormous BIG Screen TV?!?! Wow! I enjoyed the dishes we had, unfortunately my preference to eat specific ones first, led to the others cooling down too fast. Probably best to stick with 2 dishes, then order more if needed. I sampled Wifey's halo-halo and that was really good. Less traditional preparation, unfortunately I was too full to fully appreciate it. I'll leave room for that next time ;) RECOMMEND :)

Crocodile sisig and tamilok or wood worm fried and ceviche!

I ate her last February and it was good! I ate the crocodile sisig and tamilok both in ceviche and fried! I would say it's fun experience to eat an exotic food! They are the only restaurant currently offering this kind of food! Cheap too! :)

The wooden floors and the seating, just makes this place feel like home. Service was excellent. For my family and I, it was the epitome of Filipino culture and hospitality.. starting from removing your shoes before you enter. We ordered the calamari rings, blue marlin, seafood karé-karé and lato salad. Calamari was tender, just right. The blue marlin, was like butter, so yummy. Each plate came with eggplant tempura, atchara and lato. The seafood karé-karé was delicious and really comforting. The lato salad was fresh, it had diced tomatoes, onions and mango. We truly enjoyed our meal and can't wait to come back.

This is the first restaurant in this island that collects your shoes upon entering the establishment and you're barefoot during your visit until you use their comfort room. They provide house slippers. Their bathroom was quite spacious and clean. This local seafood restaurant features traditional dishes from Philippines with a twist. We tried their local catch which reminds you of the red snapper fish but with a bouncy, chewy, texture and we tried it steamed with black bean sauce. The eel adobo was out of this world! Although it was considered a side dish, the portion was plenty! My favorite was the seafood kare kare! It had the familiar peanut butter sauce but with shrimp and squid instead of the usual beef.

After my first gym workout in months, I was ready to gain all the calories back. I was with a local…read moreand she wanted to hit up one of her favourite restaurants, Mesa Filipino Moderne. It's located on the 2nd floor of the SM City Mall. We dropped in on a Sunday (around 11:00am). It got busy soon after we sat down. The inside is clean and modern, which isn't too surprising given the mall location. Service is fast and friendly. They refilled our waters multiple times. The menu is massive with appetizers, sisig, soup, salad, meat, crispchon, fresh catch, seasonal products, vegetables, noodles and rice. There's also drinks and desserts. - 2x Plain rice (45 PHP) - steepest plain rice I've come across. Splurge the extra 5 pesos for garlic rice. Yikes. - Tawilis with mangga on spoon (155 PHP) - 10 pieces of crispy tawilis with slivers of ripe mango. It came with a side of shrimp paste and tamarind sauce. The sardines were lightly fried and mango added a touch of sweetness. - Kare-kare beef and tripe (325 PHP) - beef, tripe and vegetables cooked in a rich creamy peanut sauce. This also came with shrimp paste sauce. Tripe had a great chewy texture. The peanut came through in the sauce but it was still bland. You need to add the shrimp paste to give it some flavour. This was my favourite dish of the three. - Binagoongang baboy ni kaka (260 PHP) - pan fried pork belly sautéed in shrimp paste with grilled eggplant. The pork belly was fatty. That's just how they like it in the Philippines. Grilled eggplant was the best part but the sauce was too salty and sweet for my liking. It's "fancy" Filipino dining. Good to try some different dishes but I'll stick to my hole in the wall spots.
