This is really two shops existing in one space. On the left is the craptacular trinkets shop: most of the items are junk and of the style and quality that even a tourist trap shop in China would be embarrassed to stock.
On the right is the forgotten food section of the shop which often looks dark and deserted. The owner only comes to switch the lights on if someone wants to look at the food items.
The food selection is actually not bad, but looks really empty and deserted because the space is so large. Each shelf has only a few items very neatly arranged. They even have a fresh Asian vegetables fridge; you just need to lift up the black curtain they've used as insulation to keep the cold air in the fridge. I haven't been there often enough to see if there is a consistent and changing supply, but the last time I was there I saw bokchoy, napa, daikon and lemongrass.
I find the food section a little dark and unwelcoming, but I would come here to pick up things if I'm already going to Torvehallerne and am in the area. read more
