I was looking for Lego sets only sold in Denmark for a family member, but they do not sell anything like that in this store nor the one at Tivoli Gardens. A staff member said it would only be at the main Lego store, about 4 hours away. In addition to the great variety of Lego sets, they sold individual pieces plus other gifts for the Lego enthusiast. I got Lego-shaped salt and pepper shakers but not made of real Legos though. I didn't see the Minifigure Factory here, but I went to the store at Tivoli Gardens and made a Minifigure there. read more

If you are a nerd you will love this place. There was a short wait to enter the store (it was free). Inside it there were a few samples of life size objects. Take a look at R2D2 in the pictures. It consists of 16463 pieces and took 135 hours to complete! There are lots of options of things to buy (nothing is cheap, it is LEGO after all). They got Harry Potter, Star Wars, cars, Ninjago, make your own characters... The cost of 3 figures you can make is around 10 Euros. read more

I visited the Lego store at Tivoli Gardens. The shop was bustling with shoppers but employees were cheerful and helpful. So many interesting Lego sets on display! An employee was explaining the Mosaic Maker that is on display. If you love Legos, this is a must visit! read more

We came in here about 15 minutes before closing, we didn't have a chance to fully enjoy all of this store's offerings. Employees treated us promptly as we entered the store and were very pleasant despite nearing closing time. We were offered to build a free Lego block to take home just for visiting the store (must build in the store, but since they were closing we were able to take the remaining pieces and finish it up at our hotel. They have a second one floor, but we did not have the time to check it out. Will return on another day to fully check out the store. This is a great pre-experience prior to going to Billund to tour The Lego House tomorrow. This is a very nice store with lots of offerings if you are in Copenhagen. read more

I grew up with Lego so I was very happy to check out a Lego store in its origin country of Denmark. I couldn't not buy something here so picked up their exclusive set: Hans Christian Andersen - 40291 - Book Storybook. They said you can only buy it in-store. As usual, all employees were very friendly. I mean, it's a kids store so they have to be welcoming and nice. Love me some Lego! read more

This location is the flagship store in Copenhagen, Denmark most definitely you'll be amazed at the number of Lego pieces and combinations that exist on the Lego wall at this store. The employees there are really playful and fun and will make your visit very special. You can really get inspired and become very creative there. This flagship store has some very special lego sets that are very exclusive to this location. You will find some pieces like the LEGO of the Nyhavn that took the employees about 100s of hours to make. This store is located along the Stroget - the pedestrian shopping district in the city center of Copenhagen. Definitely worth the visit. read more

This is the Lego flagship. We were excited on our way searching for this place. But it was a bit disappointing because it's rather small, not even as big as the store we have locally. There's a list of logos on the wall showing how it has evolved over the years. We didn't stay here long, the collections they have here is not any different from what we can get in the US. But if you a big LEGO fan, it's still worth coming here. It's at the the shopping street, one of the biggest attraction in the city. read more

THE Lego store!!! To be honest... I'm actually disappointed, the store is not overly big to be in the capital of his home country. But anyway, they have everything. I miss a bit of the magic of Lego in this store. They could done more. And the things that they show are getting old (Like the old harbour). Also something that irritates me, when you come in you have a big lady minifigure. She is missing a hand since month's now. They really should repair it. Apart from that the staff is really friendly. And funny enough, every time I go there, I end up speaking German or French with the employees :) If you're visiting pay attention, Lego is more expensive in Denmark then in the US and Germany read more

So this is the original flagship Lego Store. Brace yourself, because to be honest, it's a bit underwhelming due to how small it is. But get past that, and they have so much cool stuff to play with and buy. I liked their Lego interpretation of Nyhavn though. read more

Oh god, it's the mothership. A place people like me should stay out of. A place that had better count towards my "Geek" Yelp badge. I've walked past quite a few times so far...but finally got there when it was open. And the inside is awesome. So many Lego kits, and so many of the crazy ones! They know what they're doing, labeling kits as hard to find - and charging close to $700 for the larger, rarer ones (like the Super Star Destroyer...drool...). Legos aren't exactly cheap. And Copenhagen isn't exactly cheap. So buying Legos in Copenhagen is not a value proposition. But I don't care, I just want to say I bought Legos from the homeland. So I find a smallish kit, something I can get in my luggage, the Sears Tower Lego Architectural kit. A piece of home, but a souvenir of my vacation. Aww. Now, that kit is $25 retail in the US, $18 on Amazon...and pushing $36 here. Wow. And this is really not that striking of a kit. It's not hard to reconstruct a square building with Legos. So I ask someone - do you have anything unique? Any like, Viking kits, or kits for any of Copenhagen's churches or palaces? A Little Mermaid kit? Anything with a local connection? Yes - we do have something unique...we have a refrigerator magnet of a small figure with a Danish flag on his chest. Cue the sad trombones, this is kind of a letdown. If he had pulled down a $100 kit that was somehow Denmark or Copenhagen related? I'd have bought it in a heart beat. Instead...well, I bought the magnet for $6. But they could have had more of my money. Aside from kits, you do have the ability to buy in bulk from an insane selection of loose pieces, so I guess I could have made my own kit...but it might have taken a while to design in the store. Ignoring the lack of Copenhagen related kits, they did have good Copenhagen related scenery - several different (and very good) recreations of Nyhavn in Lego, as well as very large models of the Life Guards (with big hats, so the Queen must be in residence) and people on bikes. It's worth stopping by if you're a Lego person, or if you want to watch a child absolutely melt the eff down with joy. But otherwise it's just a very good selection of standard Lego kits, with a few rare ones thrown in for interest. read more

This review is for an awesome employee we interacted with on March 25th. We, unfortunately, lost the receipt with his name and a survey but he deserves praise for brightening our day. My wife and I were rummaging through the minifigs looking for just the right Lego ladies. We probably spent 10 minutes exploring body-pieces and accessories, including a sweet Viking vest. This nice employee approached us and said something like "We have one of these swords left which I've been saving for the right people-- would you two like it?" It was the perfect sword for our Viking warrior lady! This employee also rang up our order; he was so kind and sociable that we left the store with a little bounce in our step.
