Very rude cashier/worker. I pulled up on my Ev to buy water but decided to clean my windows first. Cashier came out and was furious and telling me why am I there so I told her I'm just cleaning my windows first then buying water. She shut up and went back inside. Went inside to buy water and asked her if she's ok. She replied the company sees that on camera and had called her (liar) about me being there and that I can do the window cleaning at my house. Told her don't go there and it's not her business. Paid for my water that I regret stopping by to hydrate. Ps. The water to clean windows stink like it came from sewage. read more

The workers are usually rude here, I had a dirty quarter and this guy really told me to clean it that he can't read it when it was clearly a quarter. Quarter had a little black on it. And be careful using your card, I got fraud here read more

We pulled in the station my girlfriend out of the car when I was pumping the gas and she had to go to the bathroom bad and the piece of crap at the station made her give him a quarter to use the bathroom that's pretty much the biggest piece of trash I've seen yet read more

I called 76 to report the issue I had previously and they got in contact with the owner. The owner called me right away and asked me to come back to make things right. This is great customer service and I appreciate 76 and the owner do all they could to make it up. read more

Avoid this gas station like the plague! The owner is bar none... the RUDEST person I have ever encountered in retail. This gas station is right by my house and right on my way during my frequent trips to visit my sister in San Diego, so my mother and I pump gas here all the time. The squeegees are all very beat up and leave windows worse than they were to start, but I usually just use them to wet the windshield and then wipe them off with brown paper towels. This last visit, there were NO paper towels to clean off the window, so I went inside to ask for something to clean the window off with. The owner very snottily told me to go get another squeegee. I informed him that all the squeegees I had ever used there made the windows worse, and that I just needed a couple of paper towels or anything similar to clean off the glass because I was making a long trip and was worried about the visibility once it got dark. The owner proceeded to once again tell me to use another squeegee and that had nothing for me to use and that he would order more towels tomorrow. I told him that really didn't help my situation at the moment, and then asked if I could take a couple of paper towels from the bathroom. He then got an ever snottier, smug look on his face and said, "Sure... it's a quarter to use the bathroom". Yelpers.... this INCENSED me beyond belief. I didn't care one bit about spending a quarter but it was the principle of the matter. The owner was very obviously wanting to be as much of a jerk as possible about the whole thing. I told him I would not be paying to go into the bathroom since I obviously wasn't going to use it and I had already bought gas! He started to tell me ONCE AGAIN to just use another squeegee. I told him no and left. I went outside and proceeded to take a picture of the deteriorating squeegee and the owner then had the NERVE to run outside and start yelling furiously at us in front of customers to use another squeegee. I went ahead and grabbed another one and showed him in front of everyone that it was as useless as the rest of them on the windshield. He didn't like that very much and continued to yell and be rude. We'll see if the owner replaces his terrible squeegees after this incident, but his toxic personality I'm sure is something he'll never be able to change! On the way to my trips, I'll be driving further up the street to the Shell station on Valley from now on. read more

Please see this email I sent to 76 customer service: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My father was at the 76 station at 551 N Sunset Ave in La Puente on Thursday, April 21st around 10:30. Our dog was in the backseat with the window on the driver side partly down. When my father removed the nozzle from the pump, gasoline immediately forcefully spewed out of the nozzle, spilling onto the ground, car, through the car window into the car itself. My dog who had her face at the window was hit by the gasoline and subsequently ingested an undetermined amount. There was no pressure placed on the lever to cause this outflow of gasoline. This occurred by simply removing the nozzle from the pump. There was a witness to the situation who also verbalized that the nozzle malfunctioned and there was no reason why this should have occurred. My father removed the dog from the car and with the assistance of a 76 auto employee tried to remove gasoline from my dog's mouth and body utilizing a hose. My dog was foaming at the mouth. My dog was hospitalized and the interior of the car completely soaked with gasoline. My father was also drenched with gasoline as he rushed my dog to the hospital. I later returned with my father to speak with the 76 employee who was aware of the situation. I asked to speak to the owner/manager of the station, only to be met with resistance as the employee stated that he could not be contacted but would be made aware of the situation, despite our insistence to discuss the event. The unfolding of this event, coupled with dismissive attitude of the employee who refused to escalate the event up the chain of command at the point in time is appalling. Our car interior is saturated with gasoline, as well my dog is injured and the life of my father was threatened. In the event that there was a source of fire, or even a spark, my father and dog could have died. Your entire gas station would have gone up in flames. I called the customer service number to provide this account of the events. Someone from Seattle, WA contacted me several hours later to discuss the event, however, she was not familiar with the area or store and was only covering for another employee. She assured me that someone would return my call the next day. No one has contacted me since. I have a $1600 veterinary bill, a damaged car interior, and my father and dog could have been killed. I initially decided to pursue this matter legally, however, a former 76 station owner had encouraged me to call the customer service number instead because he said this situation that occurred was unacceptable and that there is a process in place to escalate this within the company structure that would provide a resolution. I had expected some urgency in addressing this matter, however, it has been 4 days since I have heard from anyone at 76. I plan to educate anyone I can about the dangers of what my father and dog experienced and the jeopardy they were placed in at this 76 station, through word of mouth, social (Facebook and ask others to share, YouTube, Yelp) and conventional media, as well as the BBB and any other platform appropriate. 8am rush hour stopped for gas at this station. The attendant/owner was outside changing prices. He completed the main marquis, by this time he had 3 customers waiting to pay CASH for their fuel. I called out and said; Excuse me, you have a line forming, three of us here, we'll now four. He looks up and bluntly stated; "you can go somewhere else, I change numbers." To which I replied; you got it! The other three customers, as myself proceeded to leave. Took my money to a station that actually was interested in selling gas. Never going back! yesterday, 1/31/2019 I was on empty so I stopped at my local gas station to fill up , I only had one $100 dollar bill , I went and pay and the cashier guy that was there ( I don't know his name didn't give me his name either ) told me he couldn't accept my $100 dollar bill , that he only accepted new bills, I ask him why? The $100 dollar bill is real I got it from the bank , i then asked him to go ahead and run the marker through the bill or put it in the machine to see himself and he refused to.. yelling at me telling me to get out of his store that he wasn't going to accept it.. even took the bag of chips I was also trying to purchase and continue to tell me to leave. (Yelling) I kindly asked him for a customer service number which he also refused to give me. As I was talking to him explaining what he was doing was not right , he walked away from me and rudely left me talking to myself. If he's a cashier he should know how to check bills. If you have " ugly money " or doesn't have any " new bills " don't bother coming to this gas station, this guy won't accept your money. He will also make a big deal and will tell you to leave his store. read more
