I paid 3 euros for one of the best falafel wraps I have ever had. In NYC you would pay 6 bucks for falafel from carts and it would be no where close to this in quality or volume of food. This place is probably the best three dollars I have spent in my entire life I almost cried while eating it.

I like that they cook the meat/cheese/falafel to order so everything is fresh. Yes it takes longer than shaving it off a spit but if you have 4 mins to spare this is awesome. Lots of flavor, and lots of toppings on the plates and in the roll-ups. Lettuce, cabbage, hummus, carrots, tabbouleh, lentils, potatoes, sauces, tomatoes, etc. First meal I had was the shwarma teller and second was the halloumi teller to which I added 2 merguez sausages. The only disappointing thing was the halloumi cheese was really thinly sliced and became dry and brittle in the deep frier. For the portions and variety the price is maybe a little too low - 4 euro for the small plates. The people working here are also really nice. I think we'll be back frequently since we live in the neighborhood!

Kornhauskeller is an extremely misleading name for a Lebanese/Syrian restaurant. Then again, they…read morehave a Wiener Schnitzel special on Thursdays, which isn't something you'd expect from your typical Lebanese restaurant. Confused identity aside, food and service are on point here. I usually go for their falafel plate with salad. The ingredients are fresh, the salad isn't just a few leaves of lettuce, the combination of dressing and harissa pairs really well with everything, and there is a good balance between salad and falafel. Service is efficient and attentive, sometimes to the point of lacking warmth, especially with the head waiter (and maybe owner?). That said, they handle large groups really well for such a small space. We had a group lunch with 11 recently and were comfortably seated inside. I don't think they'd be able to accommodate a much larger group than that, though. They also have outdoor seating when the weather warms up. For clarification regarding the two signs out front, Palmyra is the catering business (and also a much better name for a Lebanese restaurant).

It has both signs, the older German-language reviews say that this place is German, but half of the current (new) signage says it's Syrian. Anyway, whatever, this place is great. The lunch menu is quite narrow - a choice between meat and fish dishes, but the cooking is absolutely top-notch. When you enter, immediately you'll notice the rather well thought out decor. Nice little square tables, lots of photos, nicely framed, warm colours. Then you'll notice that everyone's food looks great. If you have a party just over 4 in size (we had 5) then you'll probably get to see one of these little tables get expanded into a table for 6. Maybe they even expand up to 8? Either way it's a fun little feature and shows the quality of the furniture. The food itself is really good. I had steak, mixed veg, cous cous and a spicy tomato sauce - all perfectly cooked and presented, and the total cost was EUR7.20. I'll definitely be back.

There is only so many schnitzels I can eat before my body rejects fried food. Our favorite food so far in the entire country was curry wurst and it's basically sausage and ketchup. I'm happy to report, the food here was superb. However, as we mingled outside for some pre-dinner drinks, I noticed a blanket carefully placed on each chair. I didn't think too much of it until the temperature dropped by 20 degrees while we were enjoying our meal. Everyone bundled up and used the blankets to avoid freezing to death. Next time, we'll sit inside from the start!

The food is absolute suberb, served in an enhanting way, but not overstated. At the entrance the hostess takes your jackets to the cloakroom, and leads you to your table. The waiters are professional and polite, you definitely feel like a queen (or king) in its palace... The one thing that none of us liked, were the potatoes and mini-zucchini, which tasted like something mixed with cinnamon and nuts...no idea how to describe that. Might have been a special menu, but it was a weird combination. The ravioli with goatcheese and herbs was fantastic, but I couldnt finish it (Isnt that what youre always suppose to do when dining in a fancy restaurant?!). I only have one word for the Chili Chocolate dessert with caramelised pineapple: Delicious! Again, something youve probably never tasted before.. This was an incredibly expensive night, but worth every penny!! We even got invited to the Members only nightclub just next to the restaurant...Great, but maybe they just wanted to get us out of there because of the time (24.00) and the fact that we were pretty loud...(9 Dutch girls, expensive wines, cocktails, the bill...)
