I just moved to Kirkwood last week and had to drop by City Hall in order to setup my utilities and obtain an occupancy permit. Upon arrival, I was immediately pointed in the right direction by a pleasant lady who just happened to see me standing there confused. Between her, the woman who helped me with the occupancy permit, and the woman who helped me setup my utilities, I could not be any happier with their customer service. First rate all around. On top of that, I was in and out of the building with everything I needed within 10-15 minutes and was warmly welcomed to Kirkwood by everyone I spoke with. This experience was so fast, so easy, and I wish all governmental operations functioned in this fashion.

There are books galore as well as so many other items for the public including seeds for planting, activities to complete and groups to join. While I listen to audiobooks mostly through hoopla or libby, they do also have some audiobooks on cd that are available when the ones online are not available so this is a win for me when I want to listen to a book and not have to wait. The librarians are so nice and super helpful and keep the space well organized and maintained.
