Fake Korean food. That is what we call the food items from Kimchi Wagon. :D In fact, they serve a very interesting Korean-inspired foods with bold culinary twists by adding the typical Southeast Asian ingredients like coconut, mint, and coriander.
I tried their Korean fried chicken (KFC) and I'd say it is quite "interesting"... it just lacked the sweetness and crispiness that you would expect from the genuine one but it took an edge off of my craving for real KFC at least.
However, the portion is HUGE for a 10 euro dish ; It comes with 5 whole chicken wings and your choice of coconut rice or egg noodles. I barely finished half by myself. The noodle was just plain and tasteless. I suspect they just boil it without any seasoning. It was also a bit too soggy since it's not cooked to order. I gotta mention that the kimchi was actually spot on and authentic-tasting!
I would recommend this place for a quick and cheap eats if you happen to be hungry while in Kamppi. read more
