From a friend…read morethat had been to Dr. Patt before, they said she was very friendly and a great dentist, so i decided to head out to Brooklyn (i live UWS Manhattan) and get a teeth cleaning and X-rays. It was a very nice area the office was in and it was very easy to get through the paperwork and the office was on schedule with appointments, which is always a big plus! Dr. Patt and her assistants were great and very professional and friendly. Also they were very up to date with cleaning instruments and procedures. I will definitely be going back there if i am still in NYC for my next cleaning, or even a cavity (hope i don't get one though!)

Makes the visit go by much quicker. Finding a spot can be annoying. If you cant find one there's always the lot at the corner. It's only a few dollars.

When done, he put the mirror to my face. I yelled "oh my god". He got concerned and said "what's wrong". I said "I never had a smile like this". He so exceeded my expectations. I am grateful for the work he did and continues to do. Those bridges are now almost 6 years old, without ever being a problem....the work is so good that I don't even know which of my teeth are real or fake... Please know that the guy is a straight-shooter. You are going to get good or bad news without sugar-coating. You're going to get the bare facts from him, not an act. If you'd rather have a song and dance then great dentistry, go elsewhere. He's a pretty direct guy. His assistants are friendly and very competent. The whole experience is what one should expect from what is, let's face it, an unpleasant necessity of life.

I had taken awhile to schedule her first dentist appointment due to the usual reasons -- insurance, schedule, not knowing where to go. But when I saw some concerning marks on a back molar and also knew my own dental history had a lot of work (and even more $$$) I knew we had to go somewhere ASAP. The practice is great. The waiting room and treatment room are warm and inviting, everyone -- from the front desk staff to the dentist, Dr. Roxanna Khajavi -- couldn't be more welcoming, friendly, and taking the time to really get to know kids and their parents. My daughter had to have a baby root canal, and the entire procedure was calm, low-key, allowing plenty of time, no frustration, and allowed me to literally be in the dentist chair with my daughter, which reassured her and also reassured me she was getting the best care possible. The team genuinely loves kids, has the best dentistry equipment for kids, including kid-size masks for nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and the bedside manner, ease of explaining exactly what is being done during each step using kid-friendly​ metaphors, and truly remembering details about kids and speaking to them on their level was unparalleled​. Can Dr. Roxy be my dentist? I'm very happy here -- we live in Jersey City, but are happy to ferry across the river for this sort of care.

Starting with the front desk, the ladies don't know what politeness is and were trying to advise me on my life problems almost. When I tried to leave, one of them said I won't be able to find another dentist as I don't know the city (I don't know where that came from, maybe my appearance or accent). Then to the dentist, there were no issues with her at the moment, but the crown fell off in 1.5 weeks. The dentist promised it would stay for at least a year. Even though, they have a policy where I would be able to replace the crown (I hope for free?) as long as it's in a one year period, however, I didn't return. My mental state is more important than dealing with unprofessional, rude and egoistic staff at the front desk.

They loved they way they were treated and the treatment they received. I originally had a tooth cleaning scheduled but during the week one of my molers had cracked so i called them to reschedule me at an earlier date and time, which they did for the next day .When I got there the reception girls at the counter were very pleasant, professional and not nasty at all. I filled out my paper work and then promptly took me back to get started. The assistants were very professional as we chatted for a little, which is cool cause I literally wanted to take a shot of Jamieson to alleviate my anxiety just sitting in the dreaded chair. The doctor came in, was super friendly, checked my tooth and repaired it in a jiffy. I went back a week later for a routine cleaning and the hygienist was also pretty good. the doctor came back to speak with me about one of my caps and said that we would monitor it , which came as a shock cause usually dentists try and bilk you for every dime you have. I loved his straight forward attitude and explanation of everything. I would highly recommend them, check them out.

Not that my old dentist was bad per se, but Dr. Johnson and his staff and general set-up are so much better! There was no wait at all. The front office staff were friendly and gave me the forms to fill out. I was a little early, and the dental hygienist Monica came to fetch me. She went through the x-rays and then did the cleaning in a very steady, reassuring, and skilled way. I know my teeth are a bit jagged, like rocks on a rough Maine coastline. But Monica was totally up to the challenge. She was calm and methodical, and did it perfectly. We went over my x-rays as well, with her explaining issues in a detailed and helpful manner. Then the doctor came in. He was very friendly and relaxed, discussing the issues with my teeth. No up-selling, no pressure. In fact I brought up a couple of issues where he could have easily up-sold some extra services (like a slightly chipped tooth), but he just waved his hand and said, "Nah, it's okay, we can observe it for a few more months". By far the best dentist visit I've ever had.

At every appointment you can expect a FULL dental and periodontal exam. And Dr. Chiarello will make sure that you know exactly what you need to do in order to keep your mouth healthy (I bet you didn't know there was a wrong way to brush your teeth!). Despite being an excellent dentist, he's always quick with a joke and will leave you feeling completely at ease, even if you're going to need root canal! He takes the time to get to know his patients instead of just looking in their mouths and disappearing, like a lot of dentists tend to do. So, all in all, two thumbs up for Dr. Chiarello :)
