We're sorry this is so delayed, Victoria, but I wanted to make sure that you and the world knew how happy we were with our photos. Victoria and her team were fantastic! She did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and they turned out amazing. Honestly, exceeded my expectations, given the typical, plain photos I'm used to seeing from weddings. She gave us a mix of portraits, moments and detail shots, all of which were fantastic. Originally, we didn't want to see each other before the ceremony and we were going to try to shove all our photos into an hour after the reception, all the while missing our cocktail hour. Boy am I glad Victoria recommended first look photos... I don't know if I would have survived the day otherwise! It took a few months for me to come around to the idea, but I'm so happy we did. I was so stressed about the day-of schedule the weeks leading up to our big day. What's included in the package is made unclear, so I never got what I expected. In addition, during the shoot he said that he could take my arm out if I had it on my kiddo and when I reminded him of this later, he said that was considered a complex edit and would cost money but they'd do it complmenetary that time. Had he told me this at the time of the shoot, we would have done something differently to get photos without me there in the background. Not cool.

We have gotten so many compliments from all our friends and family about both our engagement and wedding photos from Wes. They were able to capture so many emotions from our beautiful wedding day. Ese was our photographer for our big day, and he was wonderful! He was very creative, and had…read morenumerous suggestions for where we could take beautiful outdoor shots (we chose the Japanese Gardens in Geneva, IL which were incredibly beautiful). He set up a beautiful and emotional first look for us there as well. I loved that he personalized my package for what I was looking for (I had a breakfast in the morning I was hoping he could photograph- and he said no problem), and that he got all of the big moments in our day- from getting ready until the very end- he literally traveled around with us all day. My favorite part was that we walked from the church to the reception hall and he had someone in my family move his car over so he could walk with us and photograph our private moments together. Ese is friendly and fun, and my bridal party enjoyed him throughout the entire day. He definitely shoots in the photo journalistic style, so there will not be a lot of time spent on "group shots" unless you specifically ask. Ese is a bit pricey, but his price included the day- I never felt like he was going to say, "your eight hours are up, I'm leaving even though there are still big things to happen" which is different than many photographers I've seen at events. Photographer is one of the most important wedding day decisions and I was so pleased with our choice. Definitely check out his site- you will not be disappointed.
