My first place to eat after landing in Germany! I was walking around exploring Wetzlar and I saw this odd Asian motif exterior storefront that completely stuck out from the usual German theme in the area. The menu is posted outside for your viewing pleasure.
There is outdoor and indoor seating. The food is prepared in the area next to the cashier. There is a refrigerator full of beverage choices to chose from.
I recommend any of the knusprige ente (crispy duck) dishes. It comes with char siu sauce on the side. The duck was perfectly cooked and not too greasy, slimely or oily as duck would normally be. Rather, it was cooked just right with a dryness that absorbed the thick sauce that goes on top of it. The duck is layered on top of stir fry vegetables. The one I ordered was the chop suey which was carrots, mushroom and bean sprouts.
Overall, my bill with an orange soda came out to be 9,60€ which is $11.12 in US dollars which seems to be right in line with how much it should cost. Not expensive. I really enjoyed this dish and left satisfied. I think they only take cash and receipt is available if you ask for one. I will be coming back to try out the other dishes. read more
