We had such great expectations of the food oh, and I must say, it was a little disappointing…read more Our spicy shrimp appetizer was decent. The shrimp were so small, and breaded and the breading fell off. The spicy sauce was like a remmel Aid of some sort and was moderately spicy. The tortilla chips were heavily salted with a lot of black pepper and they were tasty but it seemed like the kind of thing meant to get you to drink more alcohol. My Caesar salad was definitely not american-style, it had some other twist to the dressing. I really only wanted it for the salad part of it so while it was not the type of dressing I was expecting from an american-style Caesar salad, it was adequate enough. The baked potato was average according to my dinner mate. The rib meat fell off the bone, it was a nice quality neat and was good although not spectacular in one way or another. There were definitely enough ribs considering we had the other food. Otherwise, the small amount of ribs wouldn't have been enough. Our drinks were good, we had a strawberry and maracuja Nick and a natural maracuja with no sweetener. Both were excellent. Our server was very nice and apologize for the delay caused by a 20-person dinner table she was also tasked with. The restaurant with clean and quite busy on a Tuesday night. The food was just average but certainly acceptable, however our biggest complaint is that being restaurant with two very noisy. The noise level in Outback Steakhouse absolutely out of control and made it difficult for the two of us to have a conversation even at our booth away from the crowds.

Once you do that, you go to the bar and order your drinks. Bartender looks up your tab and confirms you've already paid and makes your drink. Music was American House (Beiber, Omi, Rihanna, Beyonce) and then when the second DJ came on at around 2AM, turned to more pop/r&b. Fun times overall. If you happen to come from LA, it was very Abbey. Several areas to chill.

Walked in at about 10:30pm, thinking the place was dead since onl a handful of people where there. Find out that Brazillians dont arrive until after 11:30pmt. Delighted to see the place packed by midnight, mixed crowd of Straights and GLBS. The entry takes you to a smal courtyard area with outdoor seating. Dance floor is located through revolving glass doors. If it is your first time in RIo, make sure to bring your passport, give it to the cashier at the font who will give you a plastic card. We left at 3am and the party was still going.

Vikings is a food haven, there are plenty of options for carnivores and vegetarians too with a menu focused on to satisfy all audiences, so this is one of the few places that can please most palates. The food resembles American cuisine with many other cultural spices and flavors. I, my groom and a group of friends came for an early Saturday 5:30 pm to a happy hour and were seated immediately. The place was actually about half full already and completely full when we left around 8:30 pm, with a small wait out the door. The indoor of restaurant is covered, there are two bathrooms and a space one especially large for biggest celebrations. The service is excelent, with helpful and fast waitstaff that know the menu and are pretty friendly. In addition, the kitchen is great, but I remember getting our main dishes very late. However, the food is the best! I love their plates and I think that many options are cheap, for example, my favorite dish is the hamburguer from soy with rice and salad for R$25. The vegetables and meat are super varied and change seasonally, so it will always mix up if you come frequently. I think Vikings is nice enough for a casual date or to bring your friends and parents. It's charming, slightly dark and very much famous in Rio de Janeiro. I indicate for tourists and residents of city.

The staff members are into the Viking history so they can tell you a lot of stories, the theme is not only about decoration. The prices are high but considering that everything is manufactured, I think is worth it.
