There's so much so see and of course, the exhibitions are superb. The building is beautiful too and set in attractive grounds, only a short walk from the town centre. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable.

Staff friendly and helpful. Point of notice if you cant find the building its on the main cross roads and has a statue of Jean Armour outside.as the sign for the library is rather small. Now located in High Street the library is ideally placed to be utilised to a greater degree than it…read moreused to when incorporated inside the council building.The library is busier as a result of this move and offer the facility for audio books as well as your traditional means.Internet acces is also available so if you need a means of studying online you can utlilise the computers inside.Carparking is readily available as the library is located next to two car parks so getting there is not an issue.The front of the building looks onto the main bus route so no problems there either.

The local community centre or Stute as it is affectionately known (shortened from Institute)is a…read morehub of activity with weekly events such as bingo,carpet bowls,line dancing,guides and brownies to name but a few.It also holds sway as polling place for local and national elections.The library is encorporated within the building and is always in demand for occasions such as large scale celebrations like Anniversaries and parties.It has undergone a major overhaul in recent years made possible by local fund raising events and lottery good causes donations.A weekly cafe is held on Thursdays and this gives an opportunity for all members young and old ,of the village ,to come together.
