Our local friends said we must have brought the rain with us because it had been sunny and dry for the previous 3 weeks. Anyways, I digress. Aker Brygge is a great place to hangout. There are a combination of restaurants, bars, and shops. Our friends told us that on clear days, there are often concerts and cultural events happening. Must be pretty cool.

No better way to see the fjord and what a special private tour. Splurging on the sauna tour, verse staying at the dock made a huge difference. Play your own tunes, leave the dock and see so much more than from the dock, nudity optional on private tours as well, truly felt like our own little floating island of joy. Could not have asked for a better guide, Gustov gave incredible recommendations for the rest of our trip and made us feel completely at ease every step of the way.

The sauna cabin consists of two rooms; an outer area where you can leave your things, and then a glass door leading into the sauna itself. There's no locker rooms or privacy (some of the other sauna guests had to get creative about how to change into swimwear). And then the water along the shore isn't especially appealing for swimming to be honest; there's debris collecting nearby at parts, kinda gross. The sauna room itself was fine, though with eight people it becomes a game of Tetris trying to find seating, especially as folks come and go from the hot room at different intervals. Overall I would say it's worth checking out for a unique experience, once. But if I wanted to try sauna again, I'd look for a different location.
