    Pass

This lagoon beach is perfect for the littles. Safe without crazy waves or undertow. Limited parking spots so come early and get a pass from the security booth. Then you flip a U and turn right down the road. Just posted photos of the pass and gate so you get the process.

    Protected sandy cove / pool.

I should give this place a 1 star rating so people don't visit! Lol... This is an awesome little beach for the family. There is a protected fully enclosed sandy pool for the littles to play in. Further out is a great place for beginner snorkeling. I definitely would come back again. You must go to the guard shack to get a pass and there are only 26 parking spots so getting access could be tricky.

A small, quiet beach that is kid friendly with limited parking. There is a very shallow beach and just an all around beautiful place to relax at. Came here on our last day on Big Island.

My favorite little spot on the Big Island. It is definitely a hidden gem. I only heard of it by researching where Kona Brewing Company filmed their famous videos. Clean and nearby restrooms, clean beach, and crystal clear blue water. There is also a small grassy area near edge of rocks with a beautiful view. Limited parking which requires a beach pass from a security booth. This is truly an oasis.

Amazing beach. This place has two areas to hang out. There is a lagoon when you first meet the ocean or there is the open bay with a bunch of sea turtles. If you get there early enough you can snag the grass patch under the trees. If you want easy snorkeling for the kids just stick to the lagoon, if you venture past the center rock the reef becomes more clear and tons of fish. Be mindful of the sea urchins. Had very nice bathrooms and a nice rinse shower.

This is an awesome beach and a must do for Kona. About 20 min north of Kona and you have to go to the security gate first and get a pass it's all free just keeps it from the beach getting to crowded. The beach has a great lagoon for taking your little ones(light surf, shallow), a grassy area to set up a chair read a book and if you follow the beach around there is a good section of sandy beach. This is where we relaxed for the day there is a ton of reefs and good snorkeling on that side. All in all great beach and probably one of the best ones near Kona

    Wedding area

Great spot to get married. How do I know? Because I got married here.... The "wedding area" is a grassy knoll by the beach - perfect setting for a small intimate wedding. The beach and surrounding area (black rocks, low hanging trees, etc) also make for perfect pictures (especially at sunset).

Grassy point under shaded palm trees with the island breeze fluffing your curly locks. This place is tranquil at its worst. You need a pass at the front gate to get in and it's a secret place so don't tell anyone. Shhhh.
