First of all, let me start with the pros of this place…read more - Dozens of equipments and machines, best variety I've ever seen - Customers are super friendly and helpful - there's always something for someone - Locker rooms for men at least are in top notch condition including the shower There. Now here is why you should NOT join this gym, if you're from somewhere else than Germany. Here are the reasons why: As you sign up, you have to do it by your self and no one will help you, they say the registration form can be changed to english. Ok good. But wait, it changes itself back to German when you have to type in your information and bank details. Help? Nope, they tell you to do it with a German friend. Fair enough. Next time I bring a friend along, who does the whole registration for me. We proceed to the counter where they re-check that everything is as it should be, give u the thumbs up and take a profile picture of you. All done! But wait, is it really? You guessed it, Of f*****g course not! After a month you start getting letters which state that you haven't paid the required fees. Call the number advised in the letter, find out that the woman, who apparently is the only worker in the house, doesn't speak a word of english. What does she say? You guessed it! "Call again with a German friend." So instead of calling I bring a German friend and the letter with me and go to the place. At the gym they tell me that the bank account I gave them was wrong. I politely ask them if I can pay the whole amount up front with cash or visa/master debit or credit, I got them all. No, only bank transfers are possible. So here I go again to the registration area double check everything as I re-registed to the place and everything is fine, right? YES! There they are, the two golden thumbs up again and I get to do my mugshot once more. All is good.... for about 2 weeks. Yet again I get another letter saying that the payment hasn't been received. I call them: "All workers (that one lady, who doesn't speak english) are currently occupied, try calling again later or leave a mail." So instead of waiting I mage a pilgrim to the gym (which is btw 5km down the road and takes 30min. with public transport). At the gym they tell me I cannot get in, because my payments haven't been received. I start slowly but surely losing my s**t. They then tell me that I have to pay the whole amount of my membership period and bring them the bill and only after that they will let me in. "Are you kidding me!? This is what I asked to do so many weeks ago!?". So I got no access to the place until I've paid the whole amount of my membership (4 months + 20€card cost). The only thing wrong with this was that I HAD NO BILL. So I asked how can I pay it and where. "Call the number on the letter, better to do it with a German friend." -- Let me pause here for a second. Never have I ever had to see this much trouble and unprofessional employees at any gym in my entire life. SIGH -- So where was I.. oh yeah! So I waited a few days and a letter came with the gyms bank information. BUT THERE WAS NO AMOUNT!? For maybe the 100th time I tried calling them and ask the amount, but no one knew anything. Absolutely amazing. A week later another letter comes with the bank info and "YES! THANK GOD! The payment amount!". But wait! Something's wrong, the end date for the membership is cut two months before it should be? So what do i do? !!!!!NOT CALL!!!!!!! Its time to get serious and send them an email! I write the email inquiring about the end date and ask if it's possible to pay the other +2 months with the same payment. I wait around 5 days, no answer. I try calling, all lines (that one non-english-speaking-woman) taken. I went to the gym today with 5 friends, and the card is locked. I explain the situation to the same man, who has been handling my case from the beginning. He tells me that he has to have a hand written letter from my own bank that I have paid the bill. A HAND WRITTEN LETTER!? Just excuse me for a minute while I hop on the next airplane to Finland and ask someone in the bank to stamp me receipt. My lovely German speaking friend convinces him to take a look at my online bank from my cellphone that I have paid the required amount. He takes my phone to the back (probably shoving it to someone) and comes back saying "I cannot understand the language so I cannot accept this. I put the phone with the billing information next to the bill. Showed him that the exact same amount was taken from my bank account, the exact date and from this bank account, that you have in my profile on your computer, where you gave your thumbs up. The guy just told me that it's not his problem, call the number on the letter with your German speaking friend. Lastly he said that I should make it easier for them to understand my emails and ask my German friend to write them. WHAT!? easier for them, I am the customer here for crying out loud.
