Do not come to this tax service under any circumstance. As a business owner myself i value every…read moresingle customer and understand the value of a dollar. I had been quoted a tax fee of $100-$150 and everything seemed to be going smoothly throughout the process of getting my taxes done at their office. However, when the meeting ended the fee came out to an astounding $270. First, I have never paid that much in my life to get my taxes done. Second, during my entire meeting I got the impression that this person had no real idea what she was doing. I felt that I had to ask every single question in order to make sure everything was being covered. She would then simply input into her computer. There was no initiative on her part and no sense that she was truly knowledgeable about what she was doing. I do not believe in creating a big scene but I was upset that I was now being asked to pay $270. When I firmly inquired about the fee I was given two separate responses as to why it cost this much. 1) The fee was a result of having to fill out a "long-form" 2) They only decide on the final price after completing each customers taxes There is absolutely no logic behind either one of their answers. I have always had a long-form for my taxes and have never paid anywhere near the $270 that I was charged here. In addition, every place that I have ever been to sticks to their original quote or very close to it and definitely does not change the price on a whim when the meeting is completed. It is bad business to not be up front with customers and tell them exactly what they will be owing prior to the meeting. I will never be back to this business and will do everything in my power to make sure everyone knows about the way they handle their customers. I feel that i was completely taken advantage of and have to turn my hard earned money over to people that do not value customer service or good business practices. My brother was with me and was about to have his taxes done and he immediately got up and left when he saw the way the situation was being handled by TCB employees. I am disappointed that there are still business that take advantage of customers in such in egregious manner.
