He explained not just my foot problems but also knew the exact location of issues with my spine that are causing neuropathy in my feet, something a new and highly recommended neurosurgeon I later saw either couldn't or didn't do despite having numerous x-rays and scans at hand that he had ordered. I hate that Dr. Allen has relocated to another part of the country. Doctors are a dime a dozen nowadays, but good ones like him are needles in a haystack that are almost impossible to find. *Dr. Allen was the fourth podiatrist I saw in Pensacola, the first three being abject failures: the first one threw a full-blown tantrum on me, calming down only when my husband entered the room; the second laughed, cracked jokes, and demanded I tell him what to do about my feet; and the third made me wait over two hours while I heard him talking and laughing with someone, then he had the gall to be impatient and condescending toward me when he finally came in for my appointment.

He went in for the ingrown toenail procedure and was told that he was on a medication that needed to be stopped before they can do the procedure. It would've been nice to know that information before the actual procedure and driving 30 minutes to get to this appointment for nothing. We had to reschedule the procedure. During the rescheduled appointment for the removal of the toenail, my father was in pain from the shot that needed to be injected into the toe and pulled his foot back because of the pain. The doctor stated "we are not going to be able to finish this procedure if you cannot sit still." During a few of the appointments that he has had, I have been able to call and get a summary of the appointment. I am also his caretaker I need to know the summary of the appointment. The last time we went to this doctors office, I was told that I was required to come in to the doctors appointment because "the doctor was not going to explain herself twice. " I mentioned that I had two kids in the car that did not have masks or shoes on and asked if we can come in separately or get a summary. She said no the only option was to reschedule or just bring the kids in with no shoes or masks. I was upset because we are in a pandemic and I was being required to go into the appointment unplanned when I have never been required to do so before. We were not prepared to go into a doctors office but was basically forced to come in or reschedule. I live 30 minutes away from the doctors office so driving their and home takes an hour out of my day. I didn't want to come to this doctors appointment for nothing AGAIN! I was upset and said this is bullshit (oops my bad)and walked out. I came back in with both children on my hips because they have no shoes. I asked my dad if the front office (representative Diana) had any extra masks for my son because of Covid and she replied "no but the stores do". First off you would think that in a medical facility they would have extra masks especially during a pandemic. Second you would think that they would be understanding, sympathetic, and professional. We were finally taken to the room to see the doctor and all we could hear was the office staff gossiping, talking trash, and laughing about me amongst each other to the point where other patients could hear. Once we were done with the appointment no one came in to tell us that we were good to leave so my dad just sat there waiting listening to their trash talking. He finally left the room and said am I good to leave? The staff said "oh yeah you can leave". My dad came outside and told me that he had just been left in the room not knowing if he was done or not because they were too busy gossiping about me. I then went back into the office and let Diana, the front office representative (old lady with black and gray hair) know how unprofessional she and the rest of the staff are and that other patients could hear them trash talking me as well. She replied thank you sarcastically about five times and gave me a rude fake smile. This is the worst experiences I've ever had in medical facility. Very rude and unprofessional staff.
