My child has been to several daycares and never one as bad as this one! First of all, the turn over…read morerate was so bad for the teachers of that age group. Literally they had 5 teachers in a span of 6 weeks. Second, when I withdrew my child, the owner had the audacity to call and text me asking if I was going to pay my balance. I never gave her any reason to believe I would not pay my balance in full and in reality my child had been withdrawn maybe a day. I'm sorry but there's no way I as a business owner would harass someone and send letters to their home for a balance under $100. The worst of it all is that my child would frequently come home with bruises on their legs, finger marks on their upper arm, and bumps and bruises on their head. They were also bitten on several occasions and NO one notified us. When we asked to see camera footage the owner had the gall to be angry and suggested our child was just overly aggressive. I even witnessed a teacher when I did a random walk in holding down two children on their mats. When people ask about sending their child to this daycare, my answer is you would be better off leaving your child with a 16 year old babysitter than these people! They don't teach them anything. In the months my child has been at home they've learned to count, identify colors, etc. never learned that in 6 months here!

Wildwood Childcare has been an absolute blessing for our family! From the very first day, when my…read moredaughter was only 6 weeks old, the incredible staff treated her as if she were their own. Now, as she approaches her second birthday in July, we are still happily with Wildwood, and I couldn't imagine a better place for her to grow, learn, and feel loved. The teachers and staff at Wildwood go above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming, and homelike environment for every child. Mrs. Doris has become my daughter's "adopted grandmother," and the love she has for my little one is truly priceless--sometimes I think my daughter loves her more than me! Mrs. Brenda, the new director, has been part of our lives for years, as we first met her at Creative Kids when my now 7-year-old was a baby. Knowing that such amazing caregivers are leading the way at Wildwood gives me the utmost confidence in the care they provide. As a busy business owner, mom, and wife to four kids, I rarely take the time to write reviews, but Wildwood deserves every bit of praise. If I could give 100 stars, I absolutely would! The teachers and staff here don't just see this as a job--they genuinely LOVE every single child who walks through their doors, not just mine. If you're searching for a daycare where your child will be embraced like family, look no further. Wildwood is a place where children feel safe, nurtured, and happy to be dropped off each day. No matter what happens in the world, these incredible women will be there, loving and protecting your children as if they were their own. Wildwood isn't just childcare--it's family.

The equipment is very well maintained and extensive. The indoor lap pool is very nice and not crowded during most of every day. The staff is amazing in all parts of the facility. I am not generally a group exercise fan but, if you are, the Flowood Y is your place to be. HIIT, Zumba, Yoga, Mat Palates, Reformer Palates, Body Sculpt, Step Aerobics, Spin, Barre, Kickboxing, Water Aerobics ... probably 100 classes per week--all included in your basic membership. I am also not a parent but know that the Flowood Y has child care (included with family membership) for your children age 6 months to 12 years, for up to 90 minutes a day while you work out. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is the lack of a steam room, dry sauna, massage or laundry service but hey--its a YMCA--not Equinox. As Katie said, it is one of the nicest YMCA's you will ever see and at a small fraction of the Equinox price. Frankly, if you like any form of group exercise and/or are towing a kid around, I can't imagine you going anywhere else in Jackson, Madison, Ridgeland, Flowood or Brandon.

I'm a parent of a Pre-K kiddo…read more We moved from NYC to Jackson, via Denver, just before my son started at St Andrew's Lower School. For our family, having the best educational opportunities is the number one priority. As much as we wanted to support public schools (and would have moved anywhere to do so), it's just to iffy, considering government cuts, etc. So, our plan was to send our son to a very well known and highly ranked school in NYC. Yes, the pain of applying for a Pre-K child's is absurd, but you do what you've got to do. Throughout our journey of the application process, the idea of moving to Mississippi and sending our son to S.A.'s was presented to us. As someone who has hardly set foot in The South, this was a crazy idea. Well, after much research and consideration, it was absolutely the best option (and a risk because it might not have been all that). We are well into the school year and I cannot say enough good things about St. Andrew's. I'm pretty skeptical when something or someone is so highly regarded. But, St. Andrew's really is TOP NOTCH. My little guy has flourished every day since day one. He LOVES going to school every day. It is such a smart community, where experience with brilliance are bridged to create something truly magical. I love meeting students from the upper school. They gentlemen, they are ladies, they are mature, articulate and straight-up classy. I've talked to about 17 upper school students in various settings and each one lights up when they talk about S.A. Only one had a negative thing to say, which was, "you know, I'd rather be in college." And, I've met several alum who talk about S.A. with as much enthusiasm as a college senior who just returned from partying in Ibiza for Spring Break! There is something really special about St. Andrew's. The teachers are incredible, at least the ones I have encountered. They are so patient, are no-none sense, communicative, energetic...I could go on and on. I know no school is perfect, but St. Andrew's is perfect for us. I wish every school could be like this one.

There is absolutely no bullying here or else you are going to be suspended for like a long time. In the middle school, there is like Street Jam which is really fun. But I highly recommend to come to this school at the starting of the school year. Plus this school has like the best education in Mississippi even Jackson Prep and Jackson Academy can't beat it. Plus you are NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES OF SCHOOL PROPERTY, so I don't think that picture is authorized and it's not very helpful what the school might look like. Just look it at Google Earth.
