Lots of fun for our grandchild. Be prepared to spend at least $100 or more so they can play games

His demeanor immediately created an atmosphere that made both my daughter and me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The overall environment reflected poor leadership. Several employees appeared visibly uneasy and disengaged, suggesting a workplace culture lacking basic respect and support. In addition to the concerning management behavior, the pricing was excessively high relative to the quality of service provided. The combination of inflated prices, uncomfortable atmosphere, and questionable managerial conduct made this one of the most unpleasant child's experiences I have encountered.

From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us with an extremely negative, rude attitude--as if our presence was an inconvenience rather than a paid reservation. He acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us use the space, and his dismissive behavior toward my guests set an awful tone for the entire event. He even walked around counting heads in a way that made everyone uncomfortable. What made matters worse was the complete lack of transparency about additional charges. We were **never** told--verbally or in writing--that there would be a $75 fee if the party did not clear out immediately at the end of the scheduled time. At the end of the evening, they claimed they made "two calls" for the end of the party, but I never heard them. Instead of explaining or offering any accommodation, the owner was rude, confrontational, and flat-out disrespectful. His exact attitude was: *"It's my place, I can do what I want."* That alone tells you everything about the customer service here. The issues didn't stop there. * The pizza, which we were told would be double-cut, was **not**, and it was served **cold**. * The attendants did **not** assist late-arriving guests; I had to repeatedly ask for help. * Overall service was unprofessional, inattentive, and dismissive. * The atmosphere they created made us feel like we were just another number, not valued customers who had paid for a special day. I left this venue upset, disappointed, and honestly shocked at how poorly we were treated. I would **not** recommend Slime Time 2 to anyone--especially not for a child's birthday party. The center Valley location in particular was a complete letdown in every way. Terrible customer service, poor communication, and an owner who seems to care more about exerting control than providing a positive experience. Save yourself the frustration. Do **not** book here.

We visited on a Friday afternoon during the school year and it was the perfect day for it, not crowded at all, staff was warm and attentive everywhere you turned, and there was just so much to explore across two floors. As a homeschool mom, I am always on the lookout for places where kids are learning without even realizing it and this delivered completely. My little ones were engaged the entire time, bouncing between exhibits and coming back to do things on repeat. The water table on the second floor was a huge hit (dam building = instant obsession), the crawl-through body exhibit had them giggling the whole way through, and the immersive hall with the giant projector and the orchestra activity where they put their faces into the performers? They talked about that the whole ride home. We timed our visit to catch the 3 o'clock otter feeding and training, definitely worth planning around. Maybe 30 people gathered and it was totally manageable and really sweet to watch. What surprised me most was how engaged I was as an adult. I was genuinely learning things alongside my kids, which is not always the case at these types of places. It felt appropriate and interesting for every age in our group. A few things to know before you go: follow the directions on their website for the specific parking garage , it's about a 5-minute walk and was only $5 for us. Strollers and wagons are totally doable with elevators throughout. They also have a café if you want to make a full day of it, and rotating special exhibits (always check the website ahead of time so you know what's on and whether it fits your crew). We stayed about two and a half hours and left happy. Already thinking about when we're coming back.

I'm not an avid science museum fan but had a fun experience at Allentown's Da Vinci Science Center…read more It's the new location for the museum which use to be located outside of town so visiting gives you easy walking to other downtown attractions and museums. Everything was interactive and modern with just enough text and things to immerse myself in to keep my attention. I especially loved that there are live animals I can see including otters! Some of the fish seemed a bit crammed in their tanks. :/ And I was excited to see the live animal reveal...but it was a cold day and this happened on the upstairs pavillion outside so, being a California guy who had checked my coat in the free coat check lockers, it was too cold for me to stick with it. There were all kinds of heaters out there that weren't on which would have made a big difference to me (or anyone who gets cold easily) had they turned those on. I was there with a group of ten with adults and kids ranging from 4-16. Everyone had a good time and had plenty to do and interact with.

To be honest, I was very disappointed with my experience at Kids Co-op…read more My daughter is still only in preschool, so I didn't expect too much to begin with. But since I just moved to the area, I thought it was important to enroll my little one in something where she could make new friends locally. I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for some good exercise, learning to follow multiple-step instructions, learning about thinking positively/feeling a sense of achievement, healthy eating, etc. But none of my hopes came to fruition at all. (And I know what I was looking for wasn't over-the-top, because I've seen this sort of positive environment before at a different location, and also experienced it myself at my adult trapeze class.) - After 6 classes, the coach NEVER introduced herself to me. I learned her name the last day because I asked. She also never introduced the kids to one another. My daughter only learned the names of any other kids because when week 3 rolled around and I asked her who her favourite friends were at the class, she couldn't tell me any names. I said, "Oh, well go introduce yourself! Just say, 'My name is X, what's your name?'" She left the class with 4 names that day. When you're in gymnastics, isn't one of the biggest goals to develop a good team mentality? How did the kids go un-introduced the entire time they practiced and played together? - I only knew the name of the receptionist/business owner because of a purchase confirmation. She never said hello when we came into the building. She DEFINITELY never asked if my daughter was enjoying the class. She never apologized after a scheduling mix-up. She spoke poorly to me of her own daughter right in front of her, in a facility that supposedly is supposed to encourage kids to have a good self-image. Put a bad taste in my mouth, for sure. Her kid wasn't even much older than mine. - Apparently, parents were supposed to receive a progress update every couple weeks, but, like I said, the coach never so much as introduced herself. - They sell soda, cookies, chips, and other junk food as a snack for after a class that's supposed to promote good health. - Dust is caked on everything. There are these huge vents that are painted jewel-toned primary colours, which you can see from beneath, but even so, you can't see through the dust on the top halves of the tubes. At first, I thought that only the bottom halves were painted! - The bathrooms are always gross. I didn't feel comfortable getting my daughter changed for class in there. - The coach is nice enough to the kids, but isn't able to give any of the kids any sort of individual attention due to there being too many kids per class. Since they do activities in "rotations", the coach will often be distracted by a single activity while the kids wander to the other rotations without instruction. Typically, the kids watch whichever kid is in front of them for direction. The only reasons I have to NOT rate it 1 star are: because my daughter had fun there, anyway; because it seems like the competition classes have more skillful coaches; and because a lot of kids benefit from the activity days there, where at least they're socializing instead of being parked in front of a TV. I don't suggest enrolling your 3-4 year old there.
