I can't imagine shops like these were common in the early 80's, and, in any case, I stained pretty much anything within a two-metre radius, so I can't imagine my mum dragged me around boutiques of this ilk when I was a kid. But they're here now, much to the delight of parents everywhere. Fred and Grace's offers exquisite designer clothing for children under the age of 10, as well as accessories for a range of seasons. Nestled in the Morgan Arcade, it's not as easy to get to as your larger emporium type stores, but if you're in the market for high-quality kids' clothes, definitely stop by here. It beats fighting the crowds at Mothercare on a Saturday!

The service was A-class and very helpful with showing me different options etc.. This is a place to go if you want something different from high street shops such as next and marks and spencer. Minimi Children & Babywear is a kids clothing store for designer babies, toddlers and young…read morechildren... we are talking single figures here... because, lets face it, once they reach double figures they will refuse point blank to be dressed by anyone else but themselves. Besides which, the parents of the kids that this store has been created for, generate enough income each year to keep a small African village fed, clothed and housed for a century. So, chances are that the mini mi's that we are talking about are earning more than the minimum wage in pocket money just for being cute, which I am sure that they can manage for a least five or so hours a week, netting them circa £25 big ones to do with what they will... So, I reckon, the mini mi rat pack probably take themselves off to T K Max of a weekend once they reach the age that they become insufferable to all but their parents, and think that they know everything! I estimate that this takes place around the age of ten, give or take one or two years for extreme cases of precociousness or arrested development. But, don't listen to me... what do I know? Minimi Children & Babywear actually cater for kids up to 14 years of age, and provide clothing, accessories (all labelled gear) and shoes... I wince at the thought!

That said, you might find the organisation of the shop a tad confusing - there doesn't seem to be any clear logic to the way the clothes are laid out - with no obvious distinction between age groups or girls' and boys' items - perhaps they're organised according to brand label? The shop itself isn't smart enough to justify the prices, either - surely boutique buyers want to browse in beautiful environs?

There is a great selection from what I would assume are pretty well known children's brands, such as Dandelion and The Next Big Thing, as well as many others. The clothes are, as might be expected, bright and colourful. Here you can get something that's a little bit different while still being of a good high quality. You can appease a child's need to the bright and poofy, while still feeling like you're not a cruel parent. There is also a good selection of fun toys and gifts. I recommend this shop to any parent. But also to people who need to buys a present for a child without knowing where to begin.

Stck includes No Added Sugar range amongst others and their range of girls tights is smashing! Fair prices for quality of this nature too.

I go to the shop in Westbury Village, and love all the gorgeous clothes and toys there. The price range is varied- you can pick a lovely gift up for 50p or £50 so there's something to suit everyone. They also have very knowledgable staff in both shops and they are always on hand for ideas if I need them. There are always lots of toys out for little ones to play with and they are breast-feeding friendly too! They sell lots of well known children's clothes brands such as Frugi, Kite, Pigeon, Hately, Joules and Blade & Rose, I have bought lots of gorgeous dresses for my daughter and everyone asks where they're from and comments on how lovely they are. They have bases in Barry and Llantwit Major as well as a retail training project called Nova. This is the first Nova charity shop I've visited, and I was really impressed by the quality of items in stock. All clothing (for men, women and children) was organised by size, making it much easier to browse the various displays. I found a cropped jumper for only £2.25, but had to leave it there as I (again!) failed to bring any cash with me. That'll teach me! Bibliophiles will marvel at the wall-size bookshelf with reasonably-priced titles for readers with a wide variety of tastes. Nova is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area - the selection is great and all of your proceeds will benefit a fantastic local charity.

There is even a clothes stand with brand new items that were donated to Nova from other shops like Marks & Spencer. All items for sale are clean, in good condition and reasonably priced. Another good point is that they do have a changing cabin to try on clothes. Unfortunately some other Charity Shops have got rid of their cabins to maximize the available floor space, but Nova still having one makes it more convenient for the customer. The staff is always helpful and friendly, so please pop in, have a browse and support a local charity. :)

This store is really quite tiny so its pretty lucky that it caters for very little people. I went…read morein to get a gift and i'm not really sure `i would want to be driving a pram around there. Anyway it has a selection of clothes as well as maternity wear, gifts and other bits and pieces. They had some really cute clothes for the little ones though I'm not really sure if its expensive or not. I paid £16 for a dress for my niece but come to think of it thats quite a lot for a very fast growing child! Staff are lovely and helped me understand the whole sizing issue.
