My wife works at a different Child Development Center but she couldn't start until August. The staff, from the front desk to the classrooms, have been nothing short of spectacular. Diann, Kim Michelle and Angela, her teachers have been great and made these super apprehensive parents feel good. If we weren't getting an employee discount with my wife we would absolutely, beyond and shadow of a doubt be staying here. Thanks ladies!

The Pre K program prepared him for school. He's loved all of the teachers he's had. His after school teacher has been with him since he was in Kindergarten, moving up every year with his class. That's just one thing that makes this school so special. The office staff has always been quick to resolve any issues I've had with billing or to provide timely information that relates to my child. I've had several friends enroll their children here, some having to wait for a spot. Their high enrollment is just another testament to the fact that this school is doing something right. I can't recommend this program enough.

The space is conveniently located out of Myers Park Baptist Church with free parking right outside. You reserve your 2-hour slot on their website beforehand. $25 for 2 hours may seem steep at first, but after going, I'd say it's worth it - especially on those hot summer days when you need to engage your little one with indoor activities. There are so many Montessori-style toys to play with, and the owner, Rachel, does a great job organizing them and will also suggest how other kids tend to play with them. My daughter had such a wonderful time exploring and trying out new things. Important to mention: your session also includes snacks! For adults, there's both hot coffee and canned lattes as well as sparkling waters and other drinks. And for kids (and adults too) there's juice, apple sauce pouches, fruit snacks, granola bites, and more. This, combined with the engaging activities and strong A/C, makes the 2 hours fly by! Slots are limited to 6 families so that the space is never overly crowded. They do tend to fill up some mornings, and it's slower in the afternoon (when I was there). The owner is great to chat with and suggested we stay into the next session so that my daughter could play with the other kid who was coming. So thoughtful and generous! From the signs on the walls to the welcoming atmosphere, this is a space full of acceptance, learning, and love. If you have a child aged 0-5, bring them to The Authentic Nest - you'll both be glad you did!

My little one is ready for 'big school' and it's because of the curriculum and programs offered by the GS. Thank you all!

They will go back and forth with you about what they feel is right for YOUR child. When you voice your concerns about negligent staff or teachers who speak to children aggressively, you're met with excuse on top of excuse. Notices are not sent to other classrooms when viruses are running around the school although many students have siblings/ relatives in other classrooms. They will still send your child (infant- preK) outside in poor weather conditions and will tell you that the state requires children to be outside everyday. In below freezing temps? Poor air quality? Light rain? Yes they will still force your child to go outside in those conditions regardless of how much YOU the parent has asked otherwise. Don't be fooled by the "five star" Google reviews. A large portion of those "5 star reviews" from the same time period were based off an email sent to "incentivize" staff members. Each "5 star review" would equal $100 to be divided among staff for a "Holiday Bonus". I am a former employee of this Child Develpment Center. I was only employed there for ninety days…read more I applied for the postion of center director through their ad on Indeed. The position offered a variety of benefits, one being a signing bonus. After I excepted the job position, I was giving an offer letter and began working in a directors position. I asked about my signing bonus and was told by the executive director that I would receive my bonus within a few days. The days turn into weeks. I continue to ask about my signing bonus. I wanted to know when I would receive it and how much it will be. I was under the impression that it would be equivalent to my regular weekly pay or more. Shortly after I was continue to inquire about my bonus, the owners began treating me horribly different. They created a bogus situation and accused me of it. They then unfairly suspended me without pay, they forced me to resign by creating a hostile enviroment for me,and they held my final paycheck along with the bonus. As of the date of this letter, I have not receive my bonus nor my final paycheck. I had to get an attorney involve, as well as the NC Wage and Labor Commision. In my factual opinion, the owners are devious and mischievous. Their adverse actions towards me caused me to esculate my issues to higher entities. I would not recommend anyone to work for Kidville-Kovar.
