They took fantastic care of our daughter from the time she was 3 months until she left for kindergarten, and we were sad when her time with her daycare family had come to an end. She learned so much in her time there and was more than ready for kindergarten both socially and academically. She loved all of her teachers, classmates, and most of all.. all of the crafts and activities they did. When our son was born last summer we knew exactly where we wanted to send him. The staff has always been there to support us as different things popped up and have been super flexible with our schedules. They also taught us so much when we were new parents. We have no doubt in our mind that they love our kids and give them the care and support that they need.

We chose this daycare because of its convenient location directly across from our workplace. During…read moreour tour, we were told they accept YWCA childcare assistance. We provided copies of our recent pay stubs as part of the process. Based on our income, we anticipated qualifying for assistance. However, we were informed that they do not accept back pay and that families must cover full tuition out-of-pocket until subsidy approval is finalized. In our case, the approval process took eight weeks. That would have required paying two months of tuition upfront while waiting for assistance. If a center works with YWCA-funded families regularly, it was unclear why no flexibility could be offered given the documented income information we provided. For many working families, paying full tuition for weeks -- or months -- while waiting on approval defeats the purpose of childcare assistance. Families relying on subsidy support should make sure they fully understand this policy before enrolling. To make a long story short if you can't afford the daycare tuition on your own, don't even apply.

Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, picnics and so much more! Another aspect is safety. They have a doorbell system with cameras and sound. Whether it was assisting with online classroom during the early months of Covid when the children couldn't go to school or during the summer months when school was not in session. This provider has been consistent in maintaining a high standard of guidance and care, steering them in a positive direction by encouraging self-expression, honesty, healthy social interaction with peers and adults. I felt relaxed and confident knowing that they were there for my children. It is a testament to the care provided when children want to return to the provider and when they are able to verbalize what they did during the day and what they are looking forward to doing in upcoming days. My children were always supported and came home to me energized and eager to learn or talk about something new. And yes, there were a few times that I received a phone call regarding an inappropriate behavior. This too was handled in a professional manner with a learning curve, allowing the children to self-report to me telling me what occurred and why it should not have happened and what they thought should occur now to prevent any repeats. I now have a 6th grader, 5th grader and 3rd grader with an enhanced trajectory of how to get along and "play nice with others." Afterall, everything you learn in kindergarten is sufficient for life, if well instructed. Thank You Sweet Tarts/Sweethearts you are greatly valued and needed in our community. L.O.
