Made an appointment with these guys the day before to pick up my 63 Caddy. Told them explicitly that the car was low to the ground, and they assured me "No problem, we will send out the right truck to get you taken care of". Were supposed to show up at 7:00am and told me they would call when they were on the way. 7:05 I call to check on them. They said they didn't have the right truck to accommodate me, and that the dude with the right truck wasn't supposed to be available till 8:30. Waited till 8:30 and they never called or showed. Called Arrow wrecker, they were $150 bucks cheaper and were out in 20 minutes. These guys called me 40 minutes late, talking about "I'm here". Do Not Use. I had an agreement for a tow with this company. About an hour before the scheduled tow the following day I received a call where they said it would cost an extra $250! They flat did not keep to their agreement. I believe they thought I would just agree since I needed it accomplished. I called SOS towing instead and Pete gave me a cheaper price and was wonderful to have accomplish the task. I suggest Pete at SOS towing instead of these folks because they are all about how much money they can get out of you and they change the price when you already have a plan in mind. My daughter's car was towed this past January 2025 by Kidd's Towing due to an accident. When she went to their tow yard to get into her car, she was not allowed to see it, get in it, anything; they told her she had to have the registration. She told them it was in her glove compartment. They said they had looked and it wasn't there. Once I heard this, I called and was told the same thing from the receptionist; I knew also that it was in her glove compartment. The receptionist then told me that I could contact the state and have them fax it to the tow yard. I called the state and they do not fax registrations due to privacy reasons which is understandable. I called and told the receptionist that and she again told me that they would have to have the registration. I asked the receptionist if someone went with my daughter to her car if she could look and I was told no by the receptionist. So, on my day off of school, I drove to a driver's license facility which is not in the same town I live in to purchase a duplicate registration and then went to the post office and paid extra to have it overnighted through the post office. When my daughter finally got the registration, she went to the tow yard, they let her in and the original registration was in the glove box just like she told them. She told the receptionist and all she said was "Oh." The car would have been out of the tow yard on Monday rather than Friday and I wouldn't have had to spend half my day and money on the duplication and mailing if those who work there would have done their job. I have called and left two messages for the owner, Michael Kidd, to call me but have not received a call back. If you are going to run a business, the owner needs to make sure the employees are doing their job(s)! I agree with a previous review; Kidd's Towing doesn't deserve one star, but to write a review, it is required to give them a star. This is the worst experience dealing with the receptionist and employees that I have experienced. read more

After my car was wrecked in an accident, I called AAA for a tow and ride to a hotel. It was taking a really long time to get AAA service. Police officer called Kidd's Towing Service for me. Their driver, Ryan, arrived quickly and hooked my car up carefully and professionally. He offered me a ride to my hotel but half way there I changed my mind and wanted to be dropped off at Enterprise Car Rentals. Ryan was so kind and patient with me. Enterprise didn't have any cars available when we arrived so Ryan attempted to find another rental car company. No luck so he dropped me off at hotel. I am so grateful for his help and kindness. He made my really bad day a little less horrible. read more

The driver left my car in employee parking at the car dealership. They left the keys in it and didn't go inside to tell anyone it was there?! When I called the dealership the next day to check on it, they had to send people out into their lots to search for it. Someone found it, and it actually started, so anyone could have just hopped in and left with it! There was a key drop box, if it was too much trouble for the driver to walk in a door.....? The dealership told me they don't use Kidds because it is one of the most expensive tow companies. I will be letting my insurance know that they should NOT call this towing company. read more

This is probably the worst towing company to go to if you have to pick your car up. The ladies on the specifically Cassandra she cannot speak simple English and couldn't say admission - she said emission, amissin, addition. She couldn't explain much anything about my car. When I went to pick up my car I could tell it had been ransacked and when she asked for my registration for it she went completely through my car and there are a couple things missing including some cash. She then asked for insurance which was in the car and she said it was not and I was not allowed to go look. I had to make an online account for my insurance and when I finally got my car back it was sitting right in the seat. She had to put things right in her face to read which makes sense why she couldn't seem to find anything. read more

I had no issues. He called before arriving to tell me he was on his way, he got more specifics on where we were. He arrived in less than an hour. When he arrived he took pictures of the car, then helped push it where he could load it. He loaded the vehicle and followed my husband and I to the mechanic. He dropped the car there for them where the mechanic told him to. He filled out the paperwork, called in the payment for the towing and he was on his way. The young man was respectful and professional. They support law enforcement so that is a HUGE plus for me. read more

So my perspective on this business is a little different. I'm sure they offer great towing services to people in need. My vehicle was towed because I was parked in the wrong spot at the wrong time. That's obviously not their fault. So I call the company to get my car and they say they are closed and I won't be able to get my vehicle or any of it's contents until the next day when they are only open from 10am-noon. Even after telling them I really needed to get a few things out of my vehicle they said it just wasn't possible. It seems strange to me that a company that offers 24 hour towing services can't at least give me access to my vehicle. When I showed up to get my car the gal helping me was confident that my insurance would cover the towing, then I notified her that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle, I was not involved in a car accident, and that it was just towed there because of a parking violation. She then suggested that I leave the car at the lot until the next business day, paying another day of impound fees, just in case my insurance covered something that I was at fault for. The business itself was run down and looked exactly like the kind of place you wouldn't want to keep your car. They asked me for my license, proof of insurance, and registration. I said it was in the car and instead of allowing me to get it myself they asked for my keys and sent one of their employees to dig through my glovebox to find it. I was very uncomfortable with the thought of a stranger going through my car but they didn't give me any other options. In the end it cost me nearly $200 to get my car back. The customer service was friendly but definitely not knowledgable or helpful. Obviously nobody enjoys going to where they parked their car and seeing it gone but this company didn't make it any easier or more enjoyable. read more

After using Kidd's towing on 3 different occasions I would never use them again. If you don't mind waiting forever, they do a decent job. However, in all 3 times I've used them, they have been very late arriving; way after the time they said they would be there. In two instances they said they couldn't find my car. Once it was on the main road going through Sedgwick County Park and the other time it was on K96. The last time I used them I was at the DMV in Wichita and they quoted a 40 minute wait. It took an hour. It seems to me that they overbook and give false times in order to get business. I would ptefer using a company that gives me an honest estimate of the wait time. read more

I just used this service thru my roadside assistance provider and I could more satisfied with this company. They came out and tried to jump my truck off with every effort. I am convinced that it is not a battery issue but something else. This is a brand new truck with less than 5k miles. The driver last night could not tow my truck (1 ton dually) and the dealership was not open anyway. But as promised they brought in a bigger tow vehicle and got my truck right over to shop. Both the tow drivers were very friendly and polite and I had no issues with anyone in this company. People are always so quick to trash companies for the slightest things in tis day of social media. My wife just used this towing service through our roadside assistance provider of USAA. Our vehicle broke down and needed to be towed to a repair shop. At first my wife was told by "Tiffany" 45 minutes, but nothing happened. After 90 mins she called and was told 45 minutes, again nothing happened. She was told another 45 mins, and finally after waiting 3.5 hrs their tow truck arrived. The next day we needed the same vehicle towed to another repair location as the first one wasn't equipped to do the repairs needed. So, the same thing happened all over again. My wife kept getting told 45 minutes..45 minutes..45 minutes.. 3.5 hrs later after the request was made is when they showed up and towed the vehicle. Luckily, this was the beginning of May and not the middle of winter where she would have been left to freeze on the side of the road as other reviewers of this business have been treated. This appears to be a chronic problem where nobody should partner with this towing company for roadside assistance services. We are drafting a strong letter to USAA asking them to drop Kidd's Towing as a roadside assistance provider. Perhaps, Kidds Towing does other things well, and if so, they should stick to that. I was quoted a 45min-1hr. I waited 2 hrs. I called at 1hr and was told they were on there way. I called at 1.5hrs and told he was reroute. At 2 hrs I called and they told me he was unhooking at his last stop and then he would be on his way. This is an hr past the time he was supposed to be there. I was lied to 2 times. lowlife's charged us $300 for towing our stolen car and storing it for 5 days because they were calling the wrong number to reach us! It gets better... somehow the tires and rims were switched out on our car for some junk wheels that just so happened to have hubcaps on them that matched our alloy rims exactly! I know right, no way ity was these people who also run an car auction and had the car for 5 days... no, surely it had to have been the chic that stole our car and had it for less than a day! she just liked those rims so much that she demanded that matching hubcaps be put back on her stolen car while at the pawnshop. even got us for our wiperblades! read more

Then when he arrived he said he probably couldn't get our car to the dealership without causing more damage and we'd have to sign a hold harmless. Wrong. That's why towing companies have insurance. Mile's Service was top notch! He could not have been more helpful or clear about what he was doing and why he was doing it. My motor home presented some interesting constraints for him but we got to where we were going just fine. Above and beyond that he found a tire store that was open and had a set of my odd sized tires in stock. Being a Sunday, I was facing the possibility of getting a hotel for the night and missing 2 days of travel time. Mike found the tire store, called ahead, arranged a good price and all without me even asking for a thing. This is huge for me. My experience was not good with this company. They changed the quoted amount I got on the phone when I got there. They only deal in cash which I think is odd. If I hadn't of had extra cash on me, then they would of charged me another day as they were closing. They were not professionable and kept changing the price to where I ended up paying $150.00 more than I was told. I know a few body shop people that see the bills they charge for towing and has seen as high as $750.00 charges, they think it should be illegal as well as unethical. So if you get in accident don't let the police call them as that is who they use. There are good reputable towing companies to use that don't add extra charges. Just be aware of this one. read more

Awful. Was promised an ETA of 60 minutes and that they would be able to give a ride to all 3 members of my family. An hour passed and they hadn't arrived. Called them and confirmed they had a truck that could take all 3 of us, but it would be another 45 minutes. 45 minutes passes, call again and they say it's going to be another 60-90 minutes and they don't even have a truck that can take 3 people. Tell me to call an Uber. (We are 20 miles from Wichita in the middle of nowhere). Another hour passes, they don't show up and I finally say forget it. Talked to at least 4 different people. All were rude and unhelpful. My family sat on the side of the I-35 in the freezing cold in my crashed car for over 3 hours waiting on them. Ridiculous. I will start out by stating I gave this company business twice only to be majorly let down both times. On Monday, January 21st 2019, I had called at 10:15am for my car to be towed from my house to a mechanic shop. The said the wait would be 45 minutes, but no one was at my house until 2:35pm. Even though I had to wait over 3 hours past the time they stated I had a decent experience. Yesterday, January 23rd 2019, I find out I needed to tow my car from the same mechanic shop back to my house. I call Kidd again at 1:44pm and they let me know it would be an hour wait. The tow truck driver calls me at 2:50pm to let me know he was at the mechanic shop to pick up my car I let him know I was not there because I was at work but the workers knew he was there to pick it up and my fiancé would be at home to sign any papers when he dropped it off. My fiancé calls me around 5:15pm to let me know the car is STILL not at the house. I call Kidd and they get ahold of the driver who lets them know he dropped of my car where the GPS told him to IN SOMEONE'S DRIVEWAY WITH THE KEY IN THE CAR. Why did he not double check the address? I'd also like to know how his GPS took him to that house when just two days before the first tow truck service man had no problem picking our car up from our house. On top of all that when he drops the car back off at my house he does not even get out of his truck to apologize he just drops the car and drives off. My money should be refunded!!! read more

So I'm sitting in the parking lot of a business here in South Wichita, waiting for Kidds to come pick up a friend's car so she can get a rental. Original pickup time? 6:51. Time now? 7:52. 2nd revised ETA? 8:41. Receptionist? Totally understands why we're livid (she said that multiple times so I know it's TOTALLY true). Kidds towing? Roadside service sent them to pick up my Honda for a towcould have went just fine if they would have just picked up the car and took it point A to point B but the towing guy insisted on trying to jump start it I knew the problem would probably not work with a jump then he breaks the hood latch inside the car because he was wearing heavy winter gloves.I was just under the hood a short time earlier when it was not broke to deactivate the alarm. When confronted the boss or owner not sure which would only say that it was not their problem and they did not do it.I just open the hood a short time before they got there to deactivate the alarm and I know it was not broke until the tow guy broke it. I gave 1 star due to there was no 0 this company is a joke and ruined our day I called Our Ins at 10 am and received a text from Kidd's towing at 1008 stating ETA at 1138 the shop we were going to was holding the doors till a little past 12 at 1148 I called to get the Eta I was told 35 to 40 min so I texted my ins to make a complaint the the driver called said he was in route and would be here 20 min that was 1203 the ins call at 1236 and said it would be 20 more min at 107i called the tow company again and was told 20 min I said really are you sure this time he said well more like 25 to 30 min now I am really mad so I called USAA my ins and made a complaint and they cancelled KIDD and got a new tow company I have a lot of respect for tow driver since I have friends and family who make there living doing it this a very bad way to run a business!
