I've had children enrolled at Kiddie Junction since 2008 and could not be happier with my experience. Robin and Lisa, the directors, are fantastic and responsive to all of my needs, questions, concerns, etc. They have an open door policy at all times. The teachers at Kiddie Junction are phenomenal! Unlike other daycare centers, Kiddie Junction has consistency in their staff, which allows for deep, meaningful relationships to form between the teachers and families. The same teacher who changed my son's first diaper eight years ago helped to potty train my daughter last year. The same teacher who taught my son the ABCs also helped my daughter learn her colors five years later. This kind of commitment by staff can only occur in a warm, welcoming environment. My kids view their teachers as second moms, which makes it so much easier for me to leave them each day when I go to work. In fact, just the other day, I was reprimanding my daughter and she begged to go back to school to get a hug from her teacher. That's love! Also, the teachers email me a personalized newsletter with pictures of my child each day. There is literally nothing better in my day than when I get to open that email while I'm at work and be reassured that my child is having a great day! As an elementary school principal, I also want to ensure my kids leave Kiddie Junction prepared for school. The teachers have been trained in Creative Curriculum, which is a wonderful program that encourages creativity and emphasizes purposeful play to aid in development. In addition, the teachers collect data on my children's development and report on their progress a few times a year. Kiddie Junction has a wonderful balance in letting kids be kids but also preparing them to be successful in school. Finally, another unique element of the Kiddie Junction experience is their Parent Teacher Organization. I know of no other daycares that have active PTOs. They put on several great events to bring the families together throughout the year. I give my highest recommendation to Kiddie Junction Educational Institute. I have a 4 year old daughter who has been at Kiddie Junction since she was 5 months old. Since I stayed home with my first two children, I was extremely cautious when I was evaluating different child care centers to choose which one would be right for our family. I loved that Kiddie Junction encourage me to "drop by any time" rather than set up an appointment. The director wanted us to see a real snapshot of daily activities in the classrooms, not prearrange a visit that we might think was scheduled to showcase certain aspects of the school. My daughter has loved Kiddie Junction since day one! All of the teachers know her by name and are friendly and welcoming each and every day. There is very little turnover at the school, so the teachers are consistent and steady. We get daily updates every day via email that include the lesson plans and activities for the day and pictures of the kids engaged in these activities. My daughter wakes up excited to go to school and play with her friends every day. The school uses best practices for literacy and numeracy development and also differentiates activities to allow for student choice. Kiddie Junction Educational Institute AND For Kids Only Summer Day Camp are amazing. Kiddie Junction: My 2 year old has been with Kiddie Junction for almost a year now, and absolutely loves it. I love that I have seen the same faces over the past year here. (No turnover). Your kids can get comfortable with their teachers and not have to adjust to new employees coming on board, like other daycare's I've experienced. I get an e-mail with updates on my son, DAILY, as well as pictures. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It's so great. Everyone is so friendly, and it's really a great group/program to be involved with. For Kids Only Summer Camp: My 5 year old was enrolled full-time all Summer in 2015 at the summer day camp. He was supervised by adults (the KJ teachers), rather than 13 year olds like some park districts (which really makes me nervous, so this made me very happy). My son LEARNED HOW TO SWIM, thanks to these amazing teachers. They practiced every single day for 2 hours, and went on an awesome field trip every week... and were always outside playing. It seems unlike any other day camp you'll find in or near the city....I LOVE IT and my boys will be here for years to come. :) read more

I have not only been an employee here at Kiddie Junction since 2012, but KJ has also been home to 3 out of my 4 children. I know as a parent the kind of care I expect my children to get when I am away from them, and that is exactly the care I give to every child who comes into my room. My children's teachers are so helpful, always filling me in on every part of my child's day. They work with me on specific goals I have for my children (i.e. potty training, learning their letters, etc.) I also cannot say enough good things about the infant room staff. My youngest was in the infant room from 6 weeks old until he moved to the toddler room at 18 months. The teachers were so loving and kind, and I felt comfortable being away in another classroom all day while they cared for him. They were a HUGE help when it came to taking him off the bottle at a year old (This was a big deal to me, and I was not doing a very great job at home with it :) ) All in all, I cannot say enough good things about KJ. I'm always recommending family and friends here because truthfully, you can't beat it. I've visited other day cares and I did not at all feel the warmth and comfortableness that I do here. read more

We went to the annual Kiddie Junction picnic last Saturday and had a blast. What great people! What fun! The KJ staff is amazing! Our grandson, Parker, gets incredible care every day. We are so impressed with what Parker is learning. Each day we see a "report card" with pictures, telling us exactly what he ate, and what activities he experienced. Sign language, numbers, colors, interaction with others, and manners are just a few of the things Parker has learned at Kiddie Junction. Our grandson is now two. He has been going to KJ since he was a baby. He looks forward to going to his school to see his teachers and friends. While he plays, he is also learning. He will be advanced for his age by the time he goes to kindergarten, thanks to Kiddie Junction. We want to thank the school's director and her staff for doing an outstanding job! We are first time parents to a 3-month old girl and like most first-time parents, We worry about our little one when we're not with her, so when it was time for us to go back to work full time, we were sure we were going to be a nervous wreck! After her first day, all my worries disappeared. They are experienced, friendly and patient and in my opinion, they provide high quality child care services. We have noticed a difference in our daughter, She's able to grab and hold things now a lot more than before and no longer cries her eyes out during tummy time. The team is very knowledgeable, experienced and is a joy to work with. We look forward to the daily e-mail reports that we get - a list of all her activities: playtime activities and photos. My daughter is 9 months old and has gone here since she was just weeks old when my maternity leave was over. We looked at a ton of daycares in the area, and the first thing we liked about KJ was that you didn't have to make an appointment to take a tour of the facility - that says a lot to me. We have been nothing but thrilled with the facility and the staff. They are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. This is an accredited school which also means they are subjected to rigorous inspections. They have lesson plans (even for the babies!) that are personalized and constantly updated to reflect the child's progress. Truly this place is a blessing in our lives, and we look forward to having our daughter at KJ until she goes to school, and then we surely plan to have her go to camp. My child has been enrolled at Kiddie Junction for 3 years and he LOVES going to school every single day! I especially like the early hours -- which is very convenient for working parents. The tuition rates are reasonable and affordable. The entire staff are all very friendly (you can tell they love working with children; Frankly, it takes an EXTREME amount of patience to work around a group of kids all day long!) Kiddie Junction also has a summer camp, which I would HIGHLY recommend. Every week there are themed activities and the counselors will take the time to nurture your child. My child didn't know how to swim and the counselors (Ms. Danielle & Ms. Jolly) took the time to teach him the basis. My child will graduate from kindergarten this year and will miss everyone there. read more

LOVE Kiddie Junction. My daughter has been there since she was 2 months old and we've had an extremely positive experience. All of the teachers and staff in the school know my daughter by name (even if they aren't yet her teachers) and I appreciate that the kids in each room participate in a variety of activities throughout the day. They send daily updates via email with the curriculum taught during the day, the foods served and how well the child ate, as well as pictures. The teachers take the time to talk to me and share stories both at drop-off and pick-up and I really appreciate that interaction. I have had all 3 of my children attend Kiddie Junction for almost 2 years now. They are currently aged 7, 5, and 4. I find that I feel safe leaving them in the care of any of the teachers there. I enjoy receiving the daily progress report cluing me in on what to talk about at dinner when the kids swear they don't remember what they did :). The teachers and staff are very friendly and are always available to answer any and all of my questions. Although some may gripe about the mandatory fundraisers, it is to help keep the tuition cost down and to help the school. This is NO different than any other PRIVATE school that I have come across. My children and I absolutely love Kiddie Junction! Since 2012 I have had four children attend Kiddie Junction. Prior to KJ, I was a stay at home mom. The transition for my kids to go from staying home with me to full time daycare was tough, to say the least- and without the amazing, caring staff it would have been impossible. My children look forward to "school" each day and I can tell by their happy, smiling faces and wonderful stories that they are very well taken care of while I work. All of the teachers are so welcoming and loving, and they take the time to always communicate with me to make sure we are always on the same page. I have been with the Kiddie Junction family for 12 years now. I say family because that is how my children are treated everyday they are there. I have no worries bringing my kids on a daily basis. Im very impressed with kiddie junction. Before my son could speak he was able to communicate with me through sign language he was taught at school. I was unaware that he knew his abc's when I sat down to read to him and he was able to tell me everything. He isn't even 2 years old yet. Kiddie junction is a really great Educational Center. It really helped my son learn a lot of great things here. He has learned to write his name to eating foods he would never try. The teachers are amazing, they really engage with the kids and work with them where it is needed. The staff is awesome and involve with you and your kids. My son just started at this daycare about 3 months now. I was very skeptical as the outward appearance threw me off as it was so close to the busy streets. But never judge a book by its cover. I can sing many praises especially ms Danielle! She is super caring and has so much patience with my son who is autistic. Not only did theee teachers just get arrested for drugging children without their parents consent with melatonin, I just drove by and saw 4 teachers smoking cigarettes in the alley, then going back into the facility. This place should not be in business and I feel bad for the children who have to spend their days there. read more

Would not trust my daughter with any other day-care except Kiddie Junction. I went to KJ 30+ years ago so being in business for that long says a whole lot. Best day-care in the business, hands down. read more
