The infant and toddler station was particularly fun for our kiddo just due to seeing so many toys he may not be exposed to at home. We loved the art and toy sections as well; all of the space between everything lets our little one feel safe and not cramped. We will definitely be back and are so excited places like this exist for families of ASD kiddos - and of course for all kiddos as well. Of the toys that were available to play with, many were broken or missing. What is the point of a play "animal clinic" with almost nothing in it ? There is a small lego table with hardly any legos to play with. I found this experience to be bizarre and sad for the kids. I could see how babies might benefit from the space to crawl around, but my 2.5 year old was asking me why things were missing or not working. I'm including pictures. The staff was nice and helpful around while the party was going on, and the venue itself was clean and everything was nice and tidy (at least before the kids got into stuff, ha!). I would say on our observation that this would probably be more ideal for 5-10 based on the amount of amenities they offered for play based on the size and skill needed to do some of them (e.g. arcade games, skeeball basketball goals, air hockey). While some of the infant and toddlers area did have it gated in with a few things it felt less of an experience for 5 and under. That said, it was still perfect for a private event. We'll definitely be planning something here and try to come back and update the review once we see how it is in a typical day for the public to use the space.

Inside, half of the store sells toys and books, and the other half is a playground for the kids. The venue itself is awesome, with lots of open play spaces before you head in (semi-fenced for those eloping kiddos out there). Once inside the gated and fenced in area let's ASD parents like ourselves take a breath and enjoy the space a bit more. This was our first time at the Muse and it was honestly a 3 or 4 experience, but not because it…read morelacked awesomeness, but because we chose a horribly busy day to come. Thus, I didn't reduce stars due to the crowds alone. There was a summer camp and the largest field trip group that they had all summer (according to the workers) with every station so crowded with space and sharing-oblivious kiddos. We asked the workers if they post field trip info online so we can avoid those days and they said you must call ahead of time to see if anything is scheduled. CALL AHEAD, y'all. They also told me that after 12:30 is the least busy time of day. As a heads up military, first responders, and educators get a discounted ticket (for self, not the entire party). My UT prof husband paid half-price. The staff is very friendly and working hard to keep the areas stocked and clean. A moving target, but they did their best! ;-) There is a gift shop, an amazing hand-washing station independent of the bathrooms, STEM areas, outdoor water and bubble play, a playground, a garden, forts, science experiments, train tables, play food/nutrition area, a giant lite-bright, rocket ships, race tracks, and numerous wind tunnel/scarf tubes (totally the technical term. ha). So many areas for kids with sensory needs and everything is very interactive. We have a membership to Children's Museum of OR, and in comparison, this is much more hands-on learning than the historical feel of OR's. I felt that the Muse is a great fit for the younger kiddos (toddlers, babies, etc) with it being all one story and easy to navigate, huge crowds aside. Amazing museum. Just know to call ahead so you're not overwhelmed. We plan to go back again soon and pay extra $3 p/p for the planetarium.

Because I have pet allergies, I can't go to every park that has dogs and pets. There is only one park on this planet, where I can go without having to take allergy shots and an overdose of allergy medication. I love walking the amazing clean and safe walking track and trail. Northwest Sports Complex is like a golf course without the golf with a playground and pavilion area. This is the most beautiful and pet free park in the world, and I love this place!
