As new parents we were so nervous dropping our baby off but Susan and the staff made us so comfortable by calling and letting us know how he was doing the first week. The staff truly loves what they do and you can tell. They have been so cautious during COVID. Susan the owner has such a passion for taking care of all of the children in the school. Susan puts the children's health and safety first which is extremely important to my husband and I. We would not take our son anywhere else because we know that he is so well taken care of there and has advanced so much already. Thank you Susan for all of your hard work and building such a wonderful community at the Goddard School of KOP.

My daughter has never cried upon drop off- the whole team at this school has a high energy that gets her excited to be at school! They have outside time weather permitting and in the summers they do safe water play. They handled the pandemic with much grace, keeping us informed and aware of plans and have been open for several weeks now with safety measures in place. I am so happy with our choice and highly recommend this school to others!!

I was 13 weeks with twins at the time. We were so relieved to have gotten the daycare checked off! Flash forward, my twins are here, in the NICU, and I have to start preparations for them despite the fact that they can't be home yet. I had previously tried emailing Lightbridge to confirm and received no response. I finally had time to call and they let me know that they do not, in fact, have room for our twins. We are starting the daycare search over, which will likely be absolutely impossible at this point, considering there are two of them. We're left without child care, with twins in the NICU, incredibly stressed out. Do yourself a favor and get in writing that they will have a spot for your child so you don't end up like us.

I thought I had that with Lightbridge in Fort Washington, but BOY WAS I MISTAKEN! The turnover is high, Jane in the front office is rude and the owners only care about getting paid the 27 of every month. I do not believe every Lightbridge Academy is like this, but I do know if I needed to do it all again, I would NEVER go back to that one. To top it off, they took money out of my account without my consent and I am yet to get it back. Please... if you are even considering the school in Fort Washington..choose wisely!

Not a safe or trustworthy place for your children…read more I am devastated that I did not write this review sooner in hopes it could have helped keep the two babies seriously injured there safe and out of this place. The teacher that is in jail for harming the babies was also my daughter's infant room teacher. Absolutely devastated for the babies and their families. Their lives will never be the same. And livid at the statement issued by the center. It is more of the same from them. My daughter was in the infant room at Oaks and early on we had concerns about the safety, unprofessional processes, and unwillingness of the Director as well as the previous or past owner to have open, honest, productive conversations about issues that came up. The Director literally said to me "Michelle, you just need to stop this and trust us". No, I will not just trust you or anyone with my infant. Our primary issues were: 1. Unsafe entrance in that anyone could walk through the doors by following others through with no checks or protocal for checking 2. No transparency when my daughter moved to the toddler room on who was changing her diapers even though this had been provided in the infant room and this became a battle with the director when it should have been an easy thing 3. Staff that was doing at least double duty as both carers and cleaners 4. A broken fence lock that was never fixed in the play area 5. My daughter always wanted to get the heck of there when I picked her up unlike the daycare that I moved her to where she sometimes doesn't want to leave for a good while after we get there 6. Some staff were very disheveled. I didn't want my daughter to think that was a normal way of being. After many attempts to be collaborative and open with the owners and the director, it was obvious that if a serious problem arose that these are not the people you'd want by your side to work through it. I left before anything serious happened. There is an incident I recall in the infant room where my daughter did have unexplained injuries while in the care of Catalina Baldwin while the other teacher was out on vacation. I thank god that it was not serious, but it could have been. The only explanation I ever got was that there was no incident at school and it probably happened at home or in her car seat. We were lucky.

My child attended Oaks and had the same little girl in the three and fours that would bully her physically, emotionally and verbally. As this is shocking enough at 3/4 years old the staff allowed it. The owner Alice, director Christine and teacher Alayna did not take appropriate action to find a solution to the other child's aggressive daily behavior, toward my child and others. After me telling them numerous times for months and months this is not okay, they still did not take action. I asked to speak with the child's parents and they refused, well never Even cared to get back to me. They had ample time to correct the situation and were well aware of the child's behavior. My last straw was when I picked my daughter up and she had a scratch on her face, lips were scratched up with a huge bubble on them. No one could tell me what happened , the adults at this center asked me to ask my 4 year old what happened. This is the care they provide to young children!! Horrifying to say the least. Alice the owner labeled my daughter sensitive since she would cry at drop off and after pick up in the car. Well if someone was poking at you all day and saying nasty things wouldn't anyone be upset, Especially at four years old. The center also knew my Husband was dying of cancer and he unfortunately has passed. Per a teacher that left they would not console my daughter if she talked about her Father and was upset they would leave her by herself. Another huge wow of failure from the adults. Lastly, the teachers come and go every few weeks. Oaks had the potential to be great but failed miserably. My child was taken out by me because the other child I guess is allowed to run the show and do whatever she pleases to whoever. Isn't that a great lesson to teacher both children I'm this situation . Thankfully my child is thriving at her new school and lis safe and back to herself. Don't be fooled like I was. Oh and good luck getting a conference with your child's teacher after asking for a month it still never happened.

My daughter and I knew we would love COA when we first toured it with Ms Sandra the director. My…read moredaughter started her learning path with COA September of this year. She's a preK student. She has two great teachers by the name of Ms Amanda and Ms Angie, my daughter admires these two women so much. Learning: her teachers have broaden her knowledge on so many things from counting, problem solving, expressing herself, learning the letters in the alphabet and not just by singing them. She's learning how to tell the difference between lower case and upper case letters. Learning about her body parts and how they function. To even diving into fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Going over the roles people play in our community was another. There's much more but that's all I can think of. Events: the events they have are great and brings a huge smile to the little one's faces which just warms our heart. Child updates: I enjoy receiving daily updates and pictures of what my child is doing in preK as well! Another main reason I chose COA Security system: what COA has in place is great and is another main reason why I chose COA. Everyone that we personally have encounters with at COA has been nothing but friendly, kind, sincere, caring, compassionate, and respectful. To name a few of course her teachers Ms Amanda, Ms Angie, then there's Ms Sandra, Ms Daina, Mr Mark, the Chef and the front desk lady (sorry if I spelled anyones name wrong). There's so many others too I just unfortunately don't know everyone's names. I love how COA promotes a supportive learning environment, academics, social, emotional, physical fitness, and health development. I believe their motto is "Mind and Body Matters." Which you can see throughout their curriculum. My daughter loves going to school. I know she feels valued, respected, and safe. The kids are great too, she's made so many friends. Never not once heard anything bad about what other kids do to each other or to her. Once my youngest turns 3 I will definitely apply for her to attend preK here at COA too. Thanks COA team for making Olivia's preK journey so far extraordinary. Ps - so sorry for the rant!

The first year we were there it was fine. I watched as she would drag the kids because she was trying to clean. But the second a parent walked in she could somehow pick them up gently? By the time my baby went to toddler B, which had no Ms. Charlene I will add, it got worse. There was a video them reading to the kids and there was a split couple of seconds where a little boy started hitting my daughter. Instead of doing anything the teacher recording chose to cut out my daughter who was getting hit and tackled while the other teacher continued reading like nothing happened. They had more slides that showed my daughter still being hit and they just ignored it. There were a couple instances where my daughter would come home with bumps, like she got hit or somrthing, on her face and when I would ask what happened all of the teachers would say they don't know what happened and they weren't in class at the time. No accountability at ALL!!! Finally for a good year I've been paying almost $300 per day after coverage by CCIS, I voiced my concerns since i was even getting charged when my daughter was absent due to getting sick. After I got approved and it was her last month in Children of America. They called me and my husband saying that they can lower the co pay to $50 and if it was too much we can even lower it to $30. Where was that when I was spending almost a grand per week? Now that I'm leaving you want to help me out? If it wasn't for Ms Charlene trust me, my daughter would be out a long time ago. The teachers for the toddler class has put me on edge, are rude to me, my husband, and my kids who pick up my daughter. They don't watch my kid at all even with me paying a $300 for co pay a day!!! I should've pay more close attention to the red flags a long time ago.

Ms. Kelly, the director, is amazing, and that really carries through to the entire staff. Everyone has always been warm, caring, and genuinely invested in our kids. Our boys are actually excited to go in the morning, and when we pick them up, they can't wait to tell us about what they did that day. As a parent, that alone means a lot. What has impressed me most, though, is how much we've seen them grow and develop. All three of our boys are doing incredibly well, and I really believe COA has played a big part in that. We can see a noticeable difference in their communication, learning, independence, and overall abilities compared with other kids around the same age. They're being challenged, they're learning constantly, and most importantly, they're having fun while doing it. It's obvious that this isn't just a place where kids are being watched during the day. There is real structure, learning, and care behind what they do. Finding a daycare you completely trust with your kids is a big deal, especially when you have three of them there, and we feel extremely fortunate to have found COA Warminster. Ms. Kelly and the entire team deserve a lot of credit for the environment they've created. We would absolutely recommend them to any parent looking for a great place for their children.
