Unity has also helped her develop independent play skills, which, as a parent, is a dream come true! They update us through a mobile up throughout the day with pictures and videos so you don't miss precious moments as your child grows. There's lots of space at this daycare for the kids to play and an outdoor field close by where the teachers take them when the weather is nice. The indoor parking garage is also great for parents so you don't have to worry about heavy rain or winds as you pick up and drop off. You can tell they take care of their staff because some of the teachers have been there for years and we have built a great relationship with them throughout that time. They also setup fun events like a day at the beach for staff, parents, and family to eat, relax, and get to know each other. We really couldn't ask for more from a daycare.

Wendy Singer (who runs the program) is one of the most caring people I know. She genuinely values and interacts with the children and is always cheerful and positive. I consider her to have been a really enriching part of my son's childhood. Anyone would be lucky to have people like Wendy in charge of their children. When there was a death in the family, she even sent us a care package. So sweet. The program includes swimming twice a week, cooking, and art projects. When the weather is nice, the kids are always outside on the playground, enjoying the fresh air and physical activity. The assistants are college students, and able to help the Decatur kids with their challenging homework -- so my son's homework was always complete when I picked him up at 6, and we could just enjoy the rest of the evening together. They have really fun vacation days (including Top Chef) and they're open on the days school is canceled or off. There is a real value on creativity and meaningful activity. Excellent program. Though the area is largely Orthodox Jewish, as is much of the attending community at the facility, the aftercare program is not heavily religiously affiliated at all, so any parent could feel comfortable having their child there.

I had exported a list of infant daycare providers from the DCFS site and was working my way down the list. When I set up a tour with Adriana I immediately thought - this is it! She was so calm and caring and had many examples of children staying in her care for years and families staying with the center for new siblings. When I returned to work at 3 months Daycare Children's World became an extension of our family. My children took their first steps and said their first words there. Adriana has been in the childcare field for over 10 years and as a first time mom I trust her to help me make the best decisions for my family. I leaned on her for guidance on introducing solids, tips on tummy time, and to communicate back my children's interests and strengths while in her care. She and her center play a critical role in the development of my children. Full time childcare for infants options are limited, let alone two spots, and even when you find it many times it comes with long waitlists and unaffordable costs. Adriana worked with my family to ensure that the spots were available at the end of my maternity leave so that I did not need to take additional unpaid leave and also not lose out on career growth and opportunities. Adriana and her center are an integral part of my family and the wider Park Ridge community. I gladly recommend her to future families.

The owner cares about her employees and the children attending. The staff consistently educate the children and love them as if they were their own. I agree with Elizabeth with the place being a bit dated however, my wife and I are more concerned with our daughter getting the attention, education, and care she needs to develop. Plus, I always see the staff cleaning and wiping down everything. As long as its clean, my daughter is getting some lovin, and is learning......all good with me. =) There is no doubt in my mind when out 2nd daughter is old enough, she will be going to Apple Tree too.
