We were in Vegas for the 1st time and visiting Area15 when her foot started hurting and we were going to have to cut our time short. I had done some previous research in case we had to rent a scooter, but now it was early evening and most of those rental places were closed, couldn't get us a scooter until the next day, or wouldn't deliver to where we were. I got someone on the phone at RedOne who was able to bring a 4-wheel scooter directly to us within 30 minutes, so we were able to continue our vacation without interruption. We ended up keeping the scooter for the rest of our trip and it made all our outings much easier and safer. They picked it up at our hotel the morning before we left for the airport. They were convenient, affordable, and just plain nice. It's not an exaggeration to say that they saved our trip.

Luckily we went from a sassy lavender to a bad ass red. You could see the looks on people's faces. They wanted to be on this scooter but they were trapped in their four door vehicles. My advice if you are headed out in the Red Rock Canyon direction is to top off on gas right before you head into the canyon (maybe 35 mins from the shop) so you're safe.

Also, Fremont St. is North Vegas and not really near the strip... plus scooters are not allowed on the strip.... so some complicated logistics unless you have a car to transport the scooter or if you're going to stay near Fremont St. Or if you're a celebrity with a team managing your scooter it would probably work well... The vehicle has a top for some shade (unlike a scooter and some other rentals), and the built-in misters were a lifesaver as it was 118F. Being electric the acceleration and braking were more than adequate and it could easily keep up with regular cars on the street. There is a storage trunk and enough battery for the Red Rock loop without having to stop to charge (we came back with about 40% left). Red Rock canyon is unreal and it almost looks like a painting. It took us the full two hours to get to the canyon entrance, travel the loop, and come back so if you'd like to stop at other places you might need more time. Highly recommended.

One of the options I found was Cloud of Goods, and I was hesitant at first because of some of the recent negative reviews, but I realized most of them had to do with tardiness, so I could adjust accordingly. I placed the order on Saturday a little after 10 am and someone from 5 Scooters reached out to me to ask me when I wanted the wheelchair to be dropped off. I was slightly annoyed because I already put the time in the order, but I let them know the time, which was 6 (I believe they don't go past 7). The price for renting it from Saturday to Monday was $132, but if you book for a longer timeframe than your per-day cost would go down. They came close to my drop-off time with the wheelchair and needed a photo of my ID for their records. The wheelchair worked well and was easy to fold and fit in the car. I had gotten a manual one because I wasn't sure whether electronic ones would fit in the car. Since my pick-up date was Monday, they texted me Sunday night about the pick-up time (which was already in my order), and I told them 11 am. They came at about 11:40 am, so that was still pretty good time. Overall, I was grateful that I could make a same-day order and didn't have to wait too long for the pick-up and drop-off. The whole rental process was very convenient and worked out well with my schedule. I think I got lucky that the vendor I ended up with was 5 Scooters, so your experience will depend on what company ultimately fills your order.
