This says it all. Reliable enough that I just hit reorder. Same meal, weeks apart. Same result.
James K.

Been coming here for a while. Ordering through Yelp makes it super easy, especially once you've done it before. Just tap "reorder" from your past orders and you're good to go. Spicy California roll has just the right kick. The regular California is still a solid choice, but the spicy version brings a little heat in a good way. Avocado roll is fresh and clean. Spicy garlic edamame has great flavor with a nice medium heat. Miso soup's good too. Clean, comforting, and always worth adding to the combo. They get busy, but the staff's friendly and things still run smooth. Orders are accurate, and service is consistent. A reliable local sushi spot that gets it right every time. Parking's just a standard lot, but I've never had an issue finding a spot.

Yellowtail Maki Roll Albacore Maki Roll

It was dead when we went in and that should've been the hint.... Fish was NOT fresh at all. Albacore, salmon & yellowtail were all dry and tasted old. Waaaaay too much rice. I think they are skimping on the fish and adding more rice to save money. Horrible experience & we love all kinds of FRESH fish. The picture is showing you the pieces that had the MOST fish in it. The rest were just drops of fish you could not taste AT ALL through all the dry rice. Been to all the sushi place in RSM now and this is not a repeat. "SAKE SUSHI" is the only place to go for sir in RSM!!

Tonkotsu Ramen
Jessica P.

This review is solely for the ramen. It is worth it if you got a coupon for a discount in the mail. However, I knew was just from the location of this place that the ramen would not be that great. It is not bad for warm noodle soup in RSM if you're craving that comfort food, but don't expect Japanese quality ramen here like you could get if you drive to Irvine.

This is what Khan was like under Tim and Tania's able hands

As a local and long(er) term patron of Khan's I feel it's necessary for everyone to know the scoop: Having changed management a few times over the last few years, Khan's was at a pretty good place starting about a year ago. They had a great sushi chef named Tim, who trained sous chef Tania. The restaurant offered AYCE including sushi, which was the best part. Everything other than sushi has always been mediocre at best, but Tim and Tania elevated Khan to one of the better places in OC in regards to sushi. The other offerings have always been sub par. A little over a month ago Tim, Tania and the rest of the front-of-the-house team quit because of toxic management/ownership. I recently went back to assess what has happened since. New sushi chef (Korean), new front-of-the-house. Ok. Sat at the sushi bar, place was empty. Friday lunchtime. Ok. Was offered two AYCE options, "Appetizers and Rolls Only" and "Everything except Sashimi". I opted for the latter, with the intent to sample their nigiri. Ordered some standard stuff, then I asked the chef to just keep things coming (as Tim would have done). The chef happily exclaimed, "Oh, you like Omakase!" to which I agreed. He told me people here didn't know what Omakase was, and seemed delighted to serve. Now here comes the kicker: about 2 servings into the experience, chef says, "Omakase higher price!" - I am, like, what do you mean, it's all you can eat except sashimi, and I didn't ask for sashimi. "So what are you going to charge me?" - "I don't know yet, more!" I check the menu, there is no Omakase, and finally having gone back and forth with the server they agree "to make an exception this time" and "only charge me for AYCE". Now don't get me wrong, I am happy to pay for quality but: (1) I would like to know from the get-go that this is the deal I am getting, and (2) I would like to know how much it will cost me! Fast forward, chef tells me that Omakase would get me "good quality", while basically saying the rest is "meh", which it going forward it pretty much was, a lame succession of salmon and tuna nigiri without any inspiration behind. A far cry from former chef Tim's creations. The quality of the food was perhaps 3.0/5, service was below that. The chef was condescending, the service inexperienced (the chef had to explain to them what Omakase meant). But most importantly, it appeared the problem was the greedy owner (Andy? The chef and servers referred to him several times saying they would "check with him" once he arrived) is the detriment to Khan's. AYCE once was $29.99 no matter what. Now it's $39 for appetizers and rolls only, $48 for everything but sashimi (and decent nigiri it seems, but that is not mentioned in the menu, neither is Omakase at all although the chef was happy to charge me for it). Sadly I have to say I won't return under the current circumstances, and urge everyone else to seek out better sushi and service elsewhere. The photo shows you what Khan once was like when Tim and Tania were at the helm of the sushi bar. RIP Khan's!

Gold dragon roll Heart attack Blazing night roll

Gold Dragon Roll looked nothing like the photo and the "salmon" had the texture of drywall. Heart Attack and Blazing Night rolls weren't any better. Save your money -- we won't ever be returning.

Irish Roll and Eskimo Roll

Wow! What a great place! It was our first but definitely not our last time! They have a great All You Can Eat Deal. The selection seemed endless. We had several appetizers ( Heart Attack ( Spicy Tuna Stuffed Jalapeño), Broiled Mussels, Garlic Edamame, two orders of Shrimp Tempura and Lobster Rangoon) and a handful of rolls. Everything was exceptional. It's a nice quaint place with comfortable seating. The wait staff were ON IT! Can't wait to try a few new things

My wife ordered through Uber eats and she ordered the wrong thing. When I got there to pick up i realized it wasn't what I wanted. Sebastian explained that because I ordered through the app and that he can't fix my order. Instead he offered me a soft drink for the inconvenience. Such a nice gesture and to me that's great customer service. The restaurant is new and clean and quiet. Will definitely try to eat in one of these day to fully explore their menu.

Sad to wait an extra 20 minutes for my food.
Chelsea I.

Was here once before with a friend and it was decent, but they seem to have trouble with time management. Tonight I ordered off Grubhub and I waited an extra 20 minutes for a pick up order. Order was made at 7:34 for a pick up window of 7:50-8pm. The restaurant had only 4 seated tables out of 9 and an empty sushi bar.... Looked like there was only one guy working so that's why I'm giving 2 stars otherwise it would be 1. Hope they can figure it out. *update* only got soy sauce which was requested, but was hoping for the regular ginger and wasabi. Next time I might as well just get food from Ralph's or Pavilions sushi area.

My last Uber order back when it was Love Sushi was bad enough that I turned off ordering from here altogether. Tuna quality was pretty poor, I didn't finish it and took it to go to not offend the chef. Salmon sashimi: 3/5 not great but not bad. 6 slices for $20, pricier side especially for mediocre quality. My mom got the chirashi ($25, comes by itself, no miso soup or salad). She took more than half home (and threw it out). Quality overall was sub par which was disappointing for $90 lunch for two.

The cocktails here are amazing and they have a live band often as a side note at night. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the food options and would say this menu would serve well for dinner as well (multiple fish dishes on the menu now and some risotto etc.). I'm not sure if the menu has expanded over time but it seemed like a lot more on offer than I recall. Including some yummy sounding desserts. There are also some great lunch options that might work for dinner as well if you are looking for something more casual such as a lobster roll, spicy chicken sandwich, French dip and burger. I had the short rib tacos and they were so good. Fresh made corn tortillas and slow cooked short ribs with a tasty Mexican flavor base. Pickled red onions. Yummy. My husband enjoyed his pastrami melt a lot and our side salad was also so good. Our waiter was so friendly and welcoming and very attentive. Beer selection was also good. Of course the views and location are some of the best in RSM right on the lake. We'll be back for lunch for sure!

I'm so serious when I say this, this breakfast burrito might've been the best breakfast burrito…read moreI've ever had. I'm someone that loves food tripping and breakfast burritos are something I eat often, but this one was other-worldly. The custom pick of protein, the cheese, and jammy sunny side up eggs inside, the crispy tater tots, and the tenderly crunchy griddled tortilla; it was incredible. And if you think I'm overplaying how good it is, then your loss; you don't get to try it. Anyway besides how good the burrito is, service is great! They made my food quick and were attentive to the things I needed. The inside is nice and there's good seating inside, maybe not enough for a big party, but there's a couple two-top tables and a bar seat counter (no bar, just bar counter). HIGHLY recommend! I've been living in RSM for the past couple years and I have zero clue how I'm just finding out about this. Gem alarm!

**This review is only for their breakfast burrito**…read more CK's cousin introduced us to this place while we were visiting town because she said it has the best breakfast burrito in the OC. CK & I were a bit skeptical, but we were surprised. Definitely one of the best breakfast burrito's I've had in the OC - especially when fresh! Made with your protein of choice, sunny side-up eggs, tater tots, pico de Gallo, cheddar cheese, and a flour tortilla - I ordered it with chorizo and CK ordered with steak. The steak are thinly sliced - not carne asada style like I assumed, but it was still good. My favorite had to be with the chorizo. Everything in the burrito was well put together and created a good balance. I think the star of the show in the burrito was the tater tots because they're the perfect crispyness and I think it's what the tied the breakfast burrito together. The breakfast burrito comes with a side of salsa verde, but there are additional condiment sauces above the trashcan. Definitely coming back for more when I visit!
