That all changed with this appointment. Set aside anything involving how nice it truly is to have someone take care of you. While he's absolutely amazing at this aspect of his job, where he really shines is the personal touch he provides during the process, which will be a unique experience for each individual. He was able to keep me relaxed while taking a straight razor to my face. That deserves an award in itself. I will absolutely be returning in the near future for another shave and haircut. I've decided that it was such an overwhelmingly positive experience, I will have to start coming on a monthly basis. It is well worth it. I called to schedule a builder gel fill with French tips and a standard pedicure. When I arrived the stylist told me they didn't have time for French in my allotted time, I told them I told the person on the phone when they asked about design, that I would Be getting French and I've done the same thing with my nails for the past two years, and it's a holiday weekend. They remedied it by saying they could try and bounce me around to a different tech to get the French portion done since it was their scheduling mistake. Ok fine. Well the negative experience continued. The nail tech I was working with would not shape my nails the way I wanted Her to because it was not the shape of my natural nail and not the healthiest for my natural nail bed. I told her that's not my top priority (sue me) and that I'd rather have the shape I want. She said she wouldnt do it (ok fine, i respect your practice), but would charge me for the full service. I pushed Back because in my 15 years of getting my nails done, I have never encountered this problem, nor is it advertised that the nail tech ultimately gets to decide the shape of your nails, even if that's not what you want. After she went and spoke with 'guest services', they decided not to charge me and they would not finish the service. Ok fine, so I left with half butchered nails and had to come back and hour later to get the scheduled pedicure done because they wouldn't let me cancel it without charge (I know About the policy and that's fine). Well come pedicure, I looked on their website before I called and booked And it said $65 for a standard pedicure. Well the person I spoke With that booked my appointment via phone, booked me for the standard pedicure and failed to inform me that it would be $105 because of the tech.... For literally the bare minimum of a pedicure. So with their cancellation policy I'm locked into this overpriced pedicure, after dealing with all the fingernail bs. So after wasting several hours at this salon, I still Have to go to my other nail salon to get my hands done. I love supporting small businesses but holy sh*t this felt like the biggest scam. When I went only 1 person was working so she had to manage the phone, taking care of me and cleaning up after herself. It was a little crazy but nothing terrible. Since I got foils, I had to sign a sheet of paper basically saying I can't get mad if my hair color doesn't come out just like the perfect little sample which made me anxious. I haven't gotten my hair colored that much and this didn't happen at the last salon I went to but they must have had a bad experience. The stylist was shocked I never colored my hair before, and I'm only starting now since I've getting more silver threads of wisdom. I went in saying I wanted a long bob and some natural highlights. I ended up with my hair more in a 'true bob' then a long bob. I also requested natural blonde highlights. I ended up with my hair wayyy shorter then i requested and my hair blonder then I asked for. HOWEVER! I've had my hair my natural color and long (mid chest length) basically my whole life. I kept telling myself to trust the stylist since she knows what she's doing (just like you trust a Dentist and don't question them or a surgeon doing surgery). So I kept just trying to relax and enjoy the 'pampering time'. I also kept reminding myself 'hair grows back, it will be long before you know it!' In the end I LOVED MY HAIR!!
