I was passing chicken express and decided to give it a go. I had to do a double take at the price list. £1.99 for 2 pieces of fried Chicken, fries and can of Pepsi. That can't be right I thought! I love fried chicken so that was what I ordered. The elderly lady who took my order was lovely and this is obviously a family run business. There was a steady trickle of people so I had to wait while my fries were cooked. I don't mind that because it means everything is fresh. Sure enough a couple of minutes later I received 2 pieces of lovely juicy chicken, piping hot fries and a can of Pepsi! What an absolute bargain. The upstairs food court is massive and KFC is just one of the fast food outlets up there. Because you rarely find KFC in city centres (which is ridiculous, I might add!) it always seems to be the popular choice. The queue is always longer than any of the other fast food stores. That said, the service is always very fast and the food is always fresh, which is one of the bonuses of having a busy restaurant. Recommended next time you're in White Rose - KFC is probably my favourite of all fast food outlets :)

After a while we learnt to avoid kfc because it ALWAYS took longer than it should have, despite hardly no queues and few customers. I thought that after a year this may have changed but I visited kfc twice in the past few weeks and both times it has let me down. The last time I visited the tables were dirty and the music was so loud I first thought it was the group next to us blasting it out on their mobile phone. Kfc has only ever once met my expectations and that was late at night outside of peak times, which is a bit of a shame really. The food is lovely and I'd suggest it to my friends if the service was so much better.
