I have mixed feelings about my Mr India experience. Someone had told me that they would go back…read morethere for the burgers. I was skeptical. I've never had the Indian food there. Something about warming trays of curry turns me off. I'm aware curries need to be made many hours in advance and get some good simmering time, but I've never been fond of warming trays. Walking by the shop today we noticed they had Prego Sauce on the menu - something sadly lacking at the other shops nearby. It got off to a rough start as I repeated various aspects of my order a few times (2 hot Portuguese burger meals, 2 sides of prego sauce). Part of the process went something like this: "regular or large burgers?" "I guess large" "Regular?" "sure" "Chili on one?" "On both please" "And 2 sides of Prego" When I was handed my bag I saw there were no sides of prego, when I followed up I was told the prego sauce was on the burgers. The guy apologized and gave me a side. Firstly, the chips here are amazeballs. They were crunchy and salty and delicious. The prego sauce was quite good as well. The burger was okay. The chicken was too floppy and there wasn't much chili. What chili there was was uneven and overpowered by the unwanted prego sauce that had been slopped on. I managed to scrape most of the prego off, but this resulted in a loss of lettuce. The cheese was stronger than other burgers, but overall the burger was okay. Final verdict: I'd go back for the chips and prego. If Spitroast down the road was shut, I might even grab the burger again - but I'd ask for double chili.

God bless small town KFCs, because nobody else will…read more We were driving down the coast for some camping and needed a hit of those hot, seasoned KFC chips, they're the best thing about the place, and they're on promotion for a single buck at the moment, which is great, right? Yeah, nah. Nah. The drive through is so packed with cars the ones in the parks can't get back out to the road, it's gridlock. There's a bunch of teenagers hanging out in the car park, because that's always fun. And the staff seem surprised that so many customers are flooding in on a Thursday evening before a long weekend because there's one kid serving and he's slow as a wet week, for every order they fill, five more come in the door. Things are going backwards at great speed. What becomes of fast food when the fast bit is removed? If you figure it out let me know because I cant even.

I attended a drive through at Engadine KFC and waited 12 minutes for them to serve 3 cars ahead...pretty slow, not a good start. I was only buying for myself but was pretty hungry so ordered the 3 piece pack and bought an extra 2 pieces @ a cost of $3 each despite a sticker advertising 4 for $6.95. On arrival at the pick up window I was greeted by a young fellow who wanted to hand me a box, I requested a bag, and he proceeded to put the box in the bag with no regard for gravity as a consequence the chips and chicken were all messed up and looked like they had been through a whirlpool. On arrival home I opened the box and saw 3 of the smallest pieces of chicken I had ever seen, remember I am 51 years old, seen the odd piece of chicken in my time. What annoyed me was not only where the pieces small but 3 of my 5 pieces were drumsticks or wings, with hardly half a mouthful on each. Lucky I got the extra 2 pieces. This annoyed me but the proverbial straw was when I opened the potato and gravy, a small tub for sure, even smaller when it is less than half full. Not knowing whether I was being punk'd or not I laughed and chose to share my experience with KFC Engadine the store I purchased from. After explaining to the "Assistant Store Manager" she offered to replace the 3 small pieces. Curious I sort clarification, "so you want me to endure this experience, drive back to your store so you can partly replace my order?". Yes was the curt reply you don't have to do it tonight. I think you are missing the point was my response I I set of to outline me KFC experience and share with as many people as possible. This all on night I was racing home to watch the KFC Big Bash on TV, unfortunately I had no KFC to eat whilst viewing. I intend to go back when the store manager is not to busy to speak with me.
