This KFC is consistent with most of their locations. The food was freshly made and good for KFC standards. I've been to some where you could tell that chicken had been waiting on a customer for a while. Four stars to the staff that was working this particularly evening. They were short handed by one or two people, but they still welcomed me with a smile. Although they told me there would be a short wait, the wait was nothing. I had a very disappointing experience at the KFC on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard in Macon. I went through the drive through to place an order, but the cashier was rude, impatient, and kept rushing me. When I tried to continue ordering, she stopped responding and made it difficult to complete my order. When I reached the window, my order was incomplete. I had to repeatedly ask about the missing items. I requested to speak with a manager, hoping the situation would be resolved, but the manager was also rude and argumentative. Because of the hostility, I no longer felt comfortable accepting food from the restaurant and asked that my order be canceled. As I was driving away, the drive through window was forcefully slammed shut in my face. I left without any food and was extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service. Honestly, I should have checked the reviews before stopping to this place. I am a a certified yelper and I stopped here before going to charge my car on the way home. Let me start by the customer service was horrible and they are very rude. It was just this one lady that was taken order that had locks in her hair and she said her name was D, but they didn't wanna give out her name. She was extremely rude. She was on the line meaning she made the food and she really needs to go back into training to have a better attitude because she told me only income that she don't have time for this when in actuality she clocked in to make time for this so I don't know what was going on with her today, but the attitude is not good for a pain customers. Nobody wants to eat anywhere where they're getting cursed out or they're getting mistreated and we spend our earned money at the same time the manager in training tried to apologize for her, but she kept on going being very rude talking loud yelling at things from behind the counter and I was very calm. I was very confused because I did not expect this from KFC I haven't ever been in the KFC and the people acted like this and I live in Atlanta where they're supposed to be the worst customer service and I haven't ever been treated like this at any KFC in Atlanta. Service is extremely slow and did not give us what we ordered. We had to correct everything. My grandson and I were finished eating before my wife's pot pie came out. They gave us his chicken and told us they have to cook French fries. It took them 5 minutes to go get the bag to cook them. They are not busy at all. They cannot handle more than one person at a time. They do not cook anything until they run completely out and are waiting on it. read more

Generally speaking, KFC has declined dramatically in the last few years, at the Tom Hill Sr location is no different from several other locations I have visited lately. Understaffed by people who don't seem to want to be there and don't particularly care what sort of product they're putting out. Two puny chicken strips and a three piece box that was delivered without the mashed potato' and cole slaw for about $20 bucks. Couldn't tell if the chicken was the original recipe we ordered or was supposed to be the extra crispy stuff; whatever it was was too grease soaked to eat. ordered 2 big box 5pc. Tenders no slaw, add biscuit. I had the pull around to the front to have them bring it out after I got someone else's food. Simple enough mistake. But I waited 20 minutes and went inside. My food was ready. I drove 20 minutes home to open a box of 5 tenders and 1 biscuit.No fries, no sauce, no drinks .For $28.92 I got 10 tenders and 2 biscuits. I visited KFC on Tom Hill Dr , Macon Ga today 2/26/19 @ 12:30, not extremely busy. I ordered 4 thighs and 4 wings Original. I was told couldn't get that, would have to change grease. What do I care, you sell original chicken. If you're selling chicken , and it's on the menu, you should have chicken either in fryer or waiting to be served. If you can't sell all thighs or whatever combination the customer wants, you sell chicken. Sell the customer what they want. Not sure how the over cooked crispy will taste. Picked up 3 meals. They had to substitute some pieces they were short on. No problem. Got back to room with food (2 minutes) and opened boxes. Horrible. As much as I love KFC I can honestly say the quality of their food has declined a great deal. I worked at KFC (bloomfied rd) when I was in high school, the food was always fresh, now i'm having a hard time telling the original from crispy, these people will serve you anything, I have had chicken that was supposed to be orginal be so hard that i've had to go back to the store and return it. This is why chic fila is running circles around KFC, their product is consistently fresh, no hit or miss, it's always fresh.
