The breakfast was a bit of a miss while the lunch was definitely a hit. I didn't care too much for any of the scrambles and breakfast platters at all. It was mushy and plain even with the salsa and catsup. On the other hand, the specialty burgers were pretty good, especially the Deluxe CBO and Pollo Tocino Crispy. We also tried a Mexican Caramel Frap, which was overly sweet. If there's anything I'd say you must try at McDonald's in Mexico, it's the McPatatas con Queso and Pay de Queso. Do you see the pattern of how obsessed I am about cheese? The mcpatatas are pretty typical potato wedges with a nacho cheese sauce that was simple, yet delicious. But it was the pay de queso or cheese pie that I was absolutely in love with. The pie crust was super crispy while filled with gooey cheese that was on the savory side. I could eat one of these every single day for the rest of my life --dead serious. BEST MCDONALD'S PIE I HAVE HAD! (even better than the taro pie in Hawaii and that was unbelievably amazing too).

But third time was the charm--we finally got the third kiosk to work, places our orders and it didn't take terribly long to get our treats. My husband had a chocolate sundae and my daughter and I split an M&M McFlurry. They hit the spot! The place was bright and clean, and full of patrons. If there weren't so many other places to try, we would go back!

If you are used to US Panda Express, it's pretty similar, except no Hot and Sour Soup, which is the only thing I eat there. Most dishes taste exactly alike. The Kung Pao Chicken differs from the Teriyaki only in the addition of vegetables and some spice. The noodles are ok, but a bit pasty and oniony. Service was fast, but I did not appreciate the server sporting his mask below his nose. We had take away. The venue is bright, spacious and accommodates groups.

Indeed the medium and hot cannot be dipped for a delivery because of the ingredients of the sauce. So I decided to take my sister and dine in so we could get a real experience of the sauce and meat. We got the tortas with side on side...and again small tiny cup and big torta. WTF? We complained and literally the last told us it was inside the fried chicken. It wasn't but we didn't want to be the angry gringos so we ate and left. But it still happens. Eat in. Dine out. Delivery. Sweet owner. Genuinely excited to have a good bbq fries chicken in cdmx. I had to call my husband over to look up our bank statement and prove that we did in fact pay for the souvenir cup. This is the worst display of customer service. We have experienced bad service and discrimination here as american tourists, but nothing of this magnitude. We will travel elsewhere and not return because this was not the only rude treatment we received while on vacation.
