Let me preface this by mentioning that I have never even taken a yoga class before but I've always…read morewanted to try hot yoga. I took advantage of the welcome week promotion in the South Bay location and throughly enjoyed it. 26 & 2, and Hot Power Fusion Lizzy - Incredible instructor, SO patient and kind, walked me through all the movements with clear instructions and encouragement. While 26 & 2 was probably not the best first ever yoga class to take, Lizzy set clear expectations and took care of me and the class Power Erica - Great instructor, I could listen to her talk all day! She narrates the class with intentional and positive encouragement and I appreciate her music selection that stays in tune with the movements All in all, it was such a great experience! I left each class drenched in sweat but exhausted AND revitalized.

I visited this studio today for the first time in a very long time. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind from the moment I walked in, which made the experience feel very welcoming. I took a Yin class with Nicole and her voice was so calming and soothing, it made the class incredibly relaxing. I booked it through ClassPass and did not regret it at all. I would definitely recommend both the studio and Nicole's Yin class

Should I decide to drive, they have ample free parking spaces in the lot by the Modera bldg. You will also be given full validation if parked by the movie theater parking. The entrance to the studio is through their parking lot. The studio is fairly new (opened Sep 2019) and very clean. It has a nice feel/vibe to it. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The reception area has yoga items displayed for sale. If you forget your mat, don't worry, you can rent one for $2. They also have snack bars and drinks for purchase. There are open cubbies for your personal items while taking classes. The yoga room is a great space with exposed pipe/vents in the ceiling with an industrial look. The room is kept in a very comfortable temperature. You have access to blocks, straps, blankets and bosus. I took classes from MADI DUPONT, the owner. She was great at explaining forms and connections, as well as modifications for more challenging poses. I ventured more and tried KYLE CASSIDY's class. I feel I have found "my fit!" It's about finding the studio that is close in distance, a schedule that works with yours, and an instructor that enhances your level of practice. I have only taken a few classes from Kyle but he keeps it different and challenging each time, allowing room to build. He feels the room, assesses the different levels, and provides options for everyone. I like it when he helps fine tune my poses. I feel my body "open" after each class and cannot wait to return. Since I am new at this studio, I purchased their promo of $40 for unlimited classes for 1-month. When my month is up, I will surely buy a package and continue attending and try other classes. Scheduling/ purchasing classes is easy through the MINDBODY app so no excuses for me... Namaste!

I love Grace, her presence and energy as an instructor is unmatched. Gabby P, Rachel M and Larissa classes were amazing. I absolutely enjoyed them. I did many classes with different instructors the ones named above were the ones that made me feel comfortable in their classes. The rest I would absolutely not recommend them if you look like me but I am not going to single them out. The front desk, Madi (I adore her) and Stephanie were extremely nice and supportive. I had an incident there and they were very helpful and I am very grateful for that. Now, I do not think this space is made for minorities who look like me. It is in a very convenient location to my house so I ignored a lot of things and focus on my practice. At some point it was not easy to ignore the micro aggressions from some people at the front desk and others customers. The vibe was if you look like me, they all look at you like you do not belong. People avoid seating next me (which I enjoyed) but at some point it was ridiculous because I would watch them pack every other corner of the room before there is no other choice than next me to and some would sight heavily before seating. In many occasions, I watched people walk back to make sure they secured their lockers as I walked in the restrooms. Ridiculous! Mind you, I would leave my stuffs in the open bench like many others but some people would be afraid of me stealing their things ! This was not the place to build a community as I hoped for, but it does make sense with the overall experience in Playa Vista. They do not want black people around! I don't blame the owners for the attitude of their customers but I think there should be communication to let people know that the space is inclusive of everyone regardless of their race! Some of the front desk people need to be checked, very mean girl attitude for a yoga space. Anyway I hated that I had to stop going because I wanted to keep practicing Yoga but I knew that environment was not healthy for me and that go against the principles of yoga. I hope things will improve! One other thing, I was charged after I asked for my account to be frozen. After the three they automatically charged me, I asked to cancel my membership, they charged me the following month ignoring my previous message. I was only reimbursed for one month. I didn't want to bother myself with the back and forth! Hope this helps!
