I asked if he thought she was dehydrated & my need fluids, he said she wasn't. He never called me the next day so I called the office & someone from the office called me a few hrs later to tell me he had emailed me the results he had gotten back. I if course had no idea what the results meant as he did not include an explanation with the results. The next day my dog was considerably worse. I started calling the office in the morning & advised my dog was worse & I needed to talk to Dr Paroff. I called 3 times that day & he never called me back. He did however take the time to send me an email stating they were understaffed & could not meet my demands. My demands being what should I do with my dig who is dying!!!. I ended up taking her to Highland Square veterinary clinic who worked me in even tho Annie was not a patient there. They diagnosed Annie with the results that Dr Paroff himself sent over to them. He told me he couldn't diagnosed her because he didn't have all the results back. This vet immediately sent us to the hospital as Annie was so sick. They admitted her to ICU & diagnosed her with lymphoma & liver failure. So 2 vets were able to diagnose her with the results that Dr Paroff sent them. Dr Paroff missed it. He had the nerve to call me on Mon, 5 days later to see how Annie was. I have been a client at Stow Kent Animal Hospital for 30 yrs & have never been treated like this before. He was not able to diagnose my dog & he also did not have the decency to call me when i needed him the most. I will never go back to Stow Kent Animal Hospital again. I think Dr Paroff is a horrible vet but even worse a horrible human being. He showed absolutely no remorse for the way he treated me & my dog. He is a piece of shit! Steer clear of Dr Paroff!

I just had a question she rudely told me they didn't have anything available and I should just go to an emergency vet. Then I tied to make an appointment for a later date and she was so extremely rude I just told her it's okay. I'm going to find someone else. Another instance I had a problem with them was when I brought in my cat who kept throwing up and I was worried. They said "he's fine!" After charging me hundreds for bloodwork. A week or so later he got worse and I took him to an emergency vet and they took x rays and he had a bowel obstruction! The only good thing about this place is a few of the vet techs are sweet and you can tell they care about your pets.

It's not just the routine healthcare we appreciate, but it's the difficult issues where we've found comfort in knowing proper, loving care has been administered. Our dog, Jax, was been coming here for years for routine checkups and immunizations, but when it was discovered he had cancer in one of his dew claws, we were grateful that the cancer was skillfully removed with great care. Jax recovered fully. Then when Scout, one of our elderly cats, was so ill that he couldn't go on, the staff made him and us comfortable as we said goodbye to him. Their empathy and final care was so appreciated. And now, Steve, our Turkish Van of 13 years, has become ill and has been seen by both Dr. Ryan Gates and Dr. Eric Allie. I am so grateful to how kind, gentle and patient they were with him on both visits. Both vets were also patient with me, as I had so many questions for them, and they provided answers to everything.
