I want to start by saying this review isn't about the customer service at a specific Andrews…read moreFederal Credit Union (AFCU) branch, but about AFCU's overall policies. During the current federal government shutdown, AFCU has shown little real support for its furloughed federal employee members. They're promoting a "salary replacement loan," but it comes with a 6% interest rate. In other words, furloughed members who aren't receiving a paycheck are being asked to borrow money and pay AFCU interest twice -- once on the new loan and again on their existing AFCU loans. Other credit unions, like Navy Federal, State Department Federal, USAA, and PenFed, are offering 0% interest loans or skip-a-payment options for their furloughed members -- common sense relief during tough times. AFCU, however, offers neither. To qualify for those 0% loans elsewhere, members must have direct deposit set up with that credit union. Since my direct deposit is with AFCU, I can't take advantage of those better programs, even though I'm a member at several others. Lesson learned: I'll be moving or splitting my direct deposit between two credit unions going forward. That way, if another shutdown happens, I won't be stuck with a credit union that puts profits over people.

Introduction: When…read moreyou just move here from West Coast, it can be a challenge trying to find someone you trust to do your taxes. I literally called 15 Tax advisors, until I got lucky and found Delisa. Customer Service: 5/5 Talking about the best service we've ever received, not just as a tax advisor, but in general. Delisa goes above and beyond for us, more importantly, flexible and super easy to work with. Knowledge: 5/5 There's a reason why I came back the second year and plan on using Delisa every year as our tax advisor as long as we live here. Obviously, Delisa is super knowledgeable with every aspect, but what's impressive is how current Delisa is in staying up to date with all the new laws, guidelines and rules. You can clearly see how genuine Delisa is when helping us. She gives you 110% of her attention. Furthermore, her attention to details is stunning. Price: 5/5 With the amount of work, details and service we got, the price becomes secondary. Office Cleanliness: 5/5 IMMACULATE! Even though there was three of us in the room, Delisa does not take any chances when we met in person. Delisa ensure that she met us at a larger conference room, so that we can comply and adhere to social distancing with ease. Tips: Once you give Delisa a chance, I am pretty certain she'll be your tax advisor next year and the next and the next.
