Well, I experienced some discomfort in the ball of my foot and decided to check out shoes that might be better than to "off the rack" Amazon Ascics I am accustomed to. They assess my gait and recommend a shoe for that style. Saucony is the brand I selected at roughly 2x the cost of Amazon but a WORLD of difference in performance. These sneakers are cushioned and have more control. After 2 rest days and wearing I am pain/discomfort free. No judgement here, even though I don't look like a seasoned running guy.
