This place is pretty cool. They have a really big selection of fireworks, thought truthfully I have no idea how fireworks are supposed to be. However the only strange thing about it is that they are required to take your information for their system without asking. The reason: they are not allowed to sell to PA residents where it is legal to set off fireworks, but are are allowed to sell to NJ residents where fireworks are ILLEGAL. Not sure why or how this is even possible. I was happy I got these really awesome smoke bombs for photography and sparklers to play with. Will definitely visit again since they are year round. read more

This place was easy to find and had plenty of parking. They had a huge selection of fireworks and a scan code that lead you to a video of what each firework looked like. Everyone was very helpful. read more

The employees here are phenomenal. Today was my first visit here - I came to get a supply of aerial fireworks for the 4th of July. I had previously only shot off groundworks that I purchased from Keystone tents in NY. I brought a list from their web site of items I wanted to purchase. When I arrived, I was surprised when an employee told me they're having a sale - buy one, get one free, mismatched within groups, everything in the store. I decided I'd buy a little more than I planned. As I was looking around, an employee passing by noticed something in my shopping cart and mentioned to me that it's a good choice. I explained that I'm an amateur and he helped me with my entire selection process, from start to finish. He was equipped with an iPad to show me videos of each firework they were selling. The employee was highly knowledgeable about all of their products, their sales, and even how to use their products. Despite the large crowds of customers, there were an abundance of employees on the floor helping everyone. The checkout lines moved fast. After I checked out, another employee approached me and commented that I had made a good choice on one of my purchases. I really learned a lot from talking to him. He spent almost 10 minutes with me explaining different options of how to shoot them off. His main emphasis was on safety. I can't speak highly enough of the employees here. They were all professional, courteous, available to their customers, hard workers, highly knowledgeable of their products and the sales, and they took their time helping each customer but were fast at the checkout. the last time i tried to buy fireworks it was july 3rd, i was 17, and i was blindly rushing from store to store in chinatown. the dialogue between me and whoever was behind the counter would go something like this: me: hi. do you have any fireworks? clerk: no. no fireworks. me: come on. really? clerk (with stern look): no fireworks. after about the tenth store, i realized it was not going to happen. fast forward to now: we head to pennsylvania and leave with our own keychain "pyro cards" and a car trunk half-full of fireworks. the sad thing about keystone fireworks is if you're a pennsylvania resident, you can only buy certain fireworks without a permit. it's a little strange because all of keystone's stores are located in pennsylvania. but hey, the law's the law, and i don't live there. it's hard for me to do this place, and the multitudes of fireworks lining the shelves, justice. prior to this i didn't know that there were so many different varieties of roman candles. there were at least ten! bottle rockets? there were regular bottle rockets. there were whistlers. and if that weren't enough, there were glittery bottle rockets. there was also Sky Banger. it sounds like an adult film about the mile high club, but it's really a missile with a loud report. still, it was kind of a running gag for the rest of the day. i could go on and on about the selection, but it would make this too long to read. this is my first visit to a fireworks store, and i left happy. ok, i was ecstatic. if you go before may 31st, EVERYTHING in the store is buy one get one free. everything. there is no mix and match, save for the 500 gram cakes, but come on, that's an amazing deal for early 4th of july fireworks shoppers. or for people that decide to make a return trip during the winter to see what lighting roman candles during a snowstorm looks like. read more

My husband and I live in New York, but we were able to purchase fireworks from Keystone with ease. In fact only people with out of state licenses were permitted to purchase aerials. This place is like a mini mart with shelves full of fireworks, instead of Kelloggs or canned peaches, and a universal buy 1 get 1 free deal. I can't vouch for the prices, because this is the only place we went to, but we were able to purchase a large variety of fireworks: Recommended (in order of most recommended & greatest pizazz): $26.99 Bejewled $21.99 Mighty Max Candle (6 in a pack) $19.99 7" Warhawk Missile (6 in a pack) $7.99 Tie Dye Surprise $3.98 Ground Blooms (6 in a pack) $4.98 Keystone 20 Gold Sparklers (6 in a pack) Recommended w Reservations: $29.99 Neon Crush $15.99 Crying Saucer (4 in a pack) $.99 Morning Glory (6 in a pack) Not Recommended: $2.49 Dizzy Bees (3 in a pack) $16.99 Plastic Whistle Moon w/report, otherwise known as bottle rockets (144 a box) $18.99 300 Tube Mix n' Match Crackling Eggs $29.99 Snake Eyes When we asked the cashier what she recommended she just directed us to the aisle with the types of fireworks we were looking for. She assured us all the fireworks were high quality and would ignite. This wasn't entirely true. We would recommend the top nine and NOT the bottom four. If you were only going to buy one firework, get Bejewled. Both Neon Crush and Bejewled contain 16 shots. Both were great, crowd-pleasers, a mini fireworks display in a box. The packaging indicates which corner contains the fuse. Remove the paper to reveal it, light wording side up and enjoy the Garruchi Brothers like display. These provide light work that shimmer like goldfish scales and rain down like jets of water in a fountain. Bejewled trumped Neon Crush, not only because it's $3 cheaper, but because the display had more pizzazz. The 300 Tube Mix n' Match Crackling Eggs were equivalent to one shot in Neon Crush or Bejewled. For the price and wow factor, just get Bejewled. Purchase the Mighty Max Candle. We can only attest to these, but any of the oversized tubes in this aisle would probably perform just as well. Pull the paper back from either side, the fuse should be located on one end. Hold the end OPPOSITE the fuse, light and point AWAY from your face or neighbor. Preferably, point these at the sky. These shoot out balls with a pop, and emit bursts of sparks at the top of their flight. The resulting firework display is so nice. These were easy to light and handle; there was no recoil, so even a child could hold these and every candle consistently shot off eight balls. Get the 7" Warhawk Missiles. These did what we were expecting from the Bottle Rockets and Crying Saucer. The Warhawk Missiles shot high into the sky, with a straight trajectory, finally popping with a showers of sparkles. Easy to light and set-up, (unlike the bottle rockets) there wasn't a dud in the pack. The Tie Dye Surprise is like an old school science fair volcano that emits sparks. Duration and light work make these worth the $7.99. Remove the paper taped on top to reveal the fuse. If you're looking for fireworks that don't report and flare in a tight circle, Ground Blooms are for you. Light these on the ground and dash off. I thought the Dizzy Bees would do this, but they didn't. They spun on the ground, then disappointingly ended in a mini shower of sparks. I made the mistake tossing a lit Dizzy Bee and that only prematurely doused it. At roughly 67 cents a piece the Ground Blooms are a better value than the Dizzy Bees (83 cents a piece). The 20 Gold Sparklers took longer to ignite because of their thickness, but they were more fun than the Morning Glories because they provided lengthier sparkle time; they mostly remained lit for the duration of the stick and if they didn't, they relit with ease. The Crying Saucer does as described: it spins, emitting sparks and shoots into the sky with an ear-piercing screech. This one was good, but we kept expecting it to pop and shower sparkles at its apex and it didn't. Still, I would recommend these because the fuse was clearly evident, the wicks light immediately, and all of these produced consistent light work, unlike the Dizzy Bees. I didn't try to toss these after lighting, but, from the ground, these all lit with ease. We were given Snake Eyes for free, but don't bother to purchase this and BE CAREFUL when you light it. It shot out sideways, as well as up. We weren't sure if the explosives would shoot straight at us. These were definitely more perilous than the other fireworks. Skip the Plastic Whistle Moon with report: Ear-splitting, cumbersome & 25% of these were defunct due to faulty fuse attachment. read more

I honestly have no idea how the pricing of fireworks goes so I'm not sure if I'm getting ripped off they always have a buy one get one free thing going on but soemtimes you have to match them with the right ones. They do have some serious shit though. Don't judge the firework by it's price though. One of the best ones I bough was only $40. They also have a video preview on their one computer in the store. It's just a link to their website and downloads the video every single time you want to watch a video so they're wasting a bunch of money on that bandwidth. They have all the videos already themselves, why not just link them from their hdd? It doesn't work on smart phones too, at least not iPhones. It's a good feature despite all those flaws. But since you can access it anywhere, it makes sense to watch the vies before you get there If you pay enough money, they give you some fireworks for free. I got some stale Useless bottle rockets that were literally all duds read more

I have been coming here since I was old enough to buy fireworks legally. I have never been disappointed with this place and usually the store is always doing half off or buy 1 get one free fireworks. I do believe they should widen their selection of fireworks but I think do to laws they are unable to do so. However the employees were always helpful and not once did I spend under 400$ coming here. They have everything you need to do a private July 4th show or just have fun. It gets 4 stars for me just because the selection of fireworks hasn't changed much. read more

To buy anything you have to get checked in when you first walk through the door. Then before you can go buy anything you get checked again and go through a roped off area. Once inside where you can buy things it was very cramped and very warm. The store associates seemed harried and exhausted and the customers were horrible. People kept cutting you off and bumping into you. It took 20 minutes to get through check out. Some of their prices on products are less than Phantom but honestly, I'd rather go to Phantom. read more

Me and my friend are from NYC and my friend owns a house in port jervis. We pass by this place almost all the time. We decided to stop by and get some fireworks. Soon as we stepped in the place the older later who might be the owner racially profiled us, Stanky ass face, bad costumer service and she wanted to scan our Id we didn't even get in the store or even purchased anything, talking about it's a state law, then I told my friend we are not buying anything from this place. The lady shouted then get the hell outta my place "before I called the police". I responded, am leaving if you call the cops you are just going to waste their times. She said ok am calling the cops. We got out the store and she followed us trying to take a picture of my license plate. Note that we are both black and she probably was thinking that we came to rob her, mind you we spent 3500 on shopping that day, at Walmart, bestbuy etc... my friend is a college professor and I work for IBM , she had money coming her way but chose to show how she really feels about us coming in her store. Eventually the cops came ran our id's then let us go. I personally am going to file a report with consumer affairs and better business bureau, and will make sure this case stand. read more
