I knew the install wasn't going to be a simple one--it was as if the kitchen was built around the old oven. Bodley's recommended I call Hitchins to do the install. To be clear, the ovens arrived Friday morning so I called Hitchins on Friday morning. I explained that I would be leaving Monday and perhaps we could set something up for my return. Instead Hitchins said "We will be there at 8:30 Monday morning and should be done by noon. Monday morning at 8:30 arrived and so did Ian. The work was done well and with quality. He came up with some very creative ways to resolve some of the installation challenges. I couldn't be happier with the end result. The price was more than fair. I would NOT recommend Young Guns Driveway Sealing and Lawn Aeration…read more I was told the workers would be at my home at 3pm... he didn't arrive until 7pm, nor did anyone call to say he was running late. I paid upon the agreement that the cracks would be filled the the driveway would be cleaned and then sealed. The worker did not blow the dirt off the driveway before he began- he sealed over a lot of loose sand and dirt and rocks- so that when I blew the driveway off a few days later, a lot of light spots appeared underneath these loose objects. There was a spot where grass is growing out of a crack- he didn't fill these cracks, he simply sealed over the grass and the crack! One of the worker's friends came by while he was working on my driveway- and he gave his friend a lesson/turn with the spray sealer. I spoke to someone on the phone about the poor job that had been done, and I got a talk about how expensive asphalt is and that they charge by the crack to fill... so if I wanted them to fix the sub-par job, they would, but they would have to charge me to do so. My biggest issue with the Young Guns team, is they have a salesman knocking on doors to get the sales and then they have a labourer come out to do the job-- but he doesn't deliver on what the salesman promised. I requested an experienced person come to take a look at the job to see if they would deem it adequate... no one ever came by.
