I suffer from chronic physical health issues - which this provider says she specializes in - as well as a number of mental health issues. After a year of visits, I had not made any progress or gotten any better. It was difficult to make appointments with her. If I had to cancel due to an unexpected migraine or other health issue, they did not care and charged me a missed office fee, even though I would let them know as soon as I could that I was not going to make it. The office staff was terrible. They were rude and uncaring. They stopped allowing me to make more than 1 appt at a time, with no explanation. (Again, it was very difficult to get in to see Ms. Smith, so it was important to make as many appointments as far in advance as possible.) I would be put on hold for a long time. When I got the answering service instead of staff, messages were not relayed. Upon reflection after the fact, I realize that I was unable to be honest with Ms. Smith about my needs and feelings. Also, most importantly, as the office staff was throttling my ability to see my therapist, I was in a severe suicidal phase, and Ms. Smith did not notice. The office staff did not care. Okay first of all, you must be in alignment with God or atleast desire to be to have somewhat of success at Keystone Counseling Center (KCC) that's my own personal opinion not KCC's. However, I was spiraling out of control with my temper, words that I would use, and things I would say to almost anyone. I knew that wasn't me, but I also knew I wanted to change, who wouldn't? I researched for the best counselor and by George, I got her. Dr. Margaret Weaver is better than a bag of chips. I was on her waiting list for almost 3 months. When the receptionist called I knew it was either now or never. Dr. Weaver is kind, unopinionated, she listens carefully, and she provides great feedback. Her feedback and most of all her prayers has helped me in a major way. I started seeing Dr. Weaver August of 2019 (I believe) at first I was embarrassed and didn't want anyone to see me or know that I was going to a therapist, yeah I got over that real quick. Whatever I am going through God grants Dr. Weaver the right things to say to me. She has helped me with relationships at work, with my sister and I am a better person today because of her. She has a very calming spirit, one that I can appreciate. I take notes with my phone, just in case I forget something and especially during tough situations, I will review my notes from Dr. Weaver and automatically I have a new approach on how to deal with the situation. I appreciate her prayers before and after each session. Again, you have to have some sort of relationship with God to be successful at KCC, but that's my opinion. During my research for a therapist, I read where Dr. Weaver came highly recommended. My desire was to have an experienced, knowledgeable, well credentialed therapist and Dr. Weaver has surpassed all of that. I am a much better person because of her. One down fall and it has absolutely nothing to do with Dr. Weaver, the building design is a little dated, it could use a face lift, if you can get past that which I suggest you do...Dr. Weaver is it! I am so surprised at the 3 star Reviews. This center has been the best counseling from Dr. Weaver. I have been a patient of hers for years. Dr. Weaver is professional, caring and actually listens to your problems. She has never judged me for my mistakes. I am unable to seek her as often however, I drive over two hours for an appointment. Although my experience with the counseling I received at Keystone wasn't what I'd hoped, my biggest issue was with the office staff. The receptionist there is the absolute worst. Snotty attitude, unhelpful, and behaves like you're bothering her. The absolute worst person to have at a counseling center. Chose to go elsewhere because of her. Sad... read more
