When I realized I had to get rid of a lemon for something more reliable I took my chances and went to Key Chev in Yorkton to see if there was a remote chance they could help me out.
They did. Not once, but twice. I got rid of a 2007 Equinox I bought from MacNeil Motors (go see what I think of them) and got a 2007 Impala instead. Absolutely great vehicle. Felt nice having something reliable and wasn't given half the runaround I had from the previous dealership. The finance guy, Cal Cameron, was nothing short of a genius because my credit rating still wasn't very good and I actually learned from him those with bad credit ratings should avoid dealerships like MacNeil at all costs. Good lesson learned.
I really didn't want to give up my 2007 Impala, but I was playing the credit game where after you rebuild a bit you trade up and likely lower your payments. I was able to do that and trade it in for a 2010 Malibu. I liked the Malibu too, but will be honest. I liked the Impala better.
However, I was going to go to Key Chev a 3rd time as my 2010 Malibu experienced a pretty major problem and I knew that vehicle was no longer road worthy. This is where Key Chev disappointed me and I figured out why. Cal Cameron was no longer there and was now with Yorkton Kia. Both dealerships are actually under the same ownership and these two do work together, which was great because my 2010 Malibu got towed to Key Chev while I opted to deal with Kia instead as I know their finance team is actually superior to the one belonging t Key Chev and given the situation I was in, I knew I had to go there instead of here.
However, don't dis Key Chev. They are a good team. read more
