Ready 2 Roof

I definitely recommend Ready2Roof. Ryan has been incredibly helpful. He understands the meaning of…read morecustomer service. They actually got the job because of him. If you need a roof you really should give them a call.

We live in a home that was built in 1912. Being an old home it has its eccentricities, one being…read morethat it's a two story home, but has a large attic and dormers, and also a basement. So from the front it's two stories, but from the back, with the attic and dormers, it's more like three and a half to four stories tall. Additionally, it's got at least three distinct levels to the roof, is located in town on a busy, Main Street, with houses right next door on both sides, and has landscaping that makes access a challenge. However, these are all things that are glaringly apparent upon seeing the home. That is, there's no hiding these realities in regard to the home. We chose Ready2Roof as they said they were willing to make repairs to our roof rather than only providing a total re-roof, like all of the other roofers in our town. We had had two other local, reputable roofing companies look at the home, and quote an entire re-roof, both totaled or averaged to around $20,000. We didn't want or need such a heavy expense, but looking back, we should have gone with a local roofer as we believe the job would have been handled professionally and would have been quality work, especially since local roofers would have had their reputation tied to quality, locally. Ready2Roof was located or based somewhere out of the Jackson/Brandon, MS area. We didn't see a lot of reviews for them when we researched them, and on their personal website, at the time, there were only a few positive reviews (but all generally positive), so we got an estimate for repairs only, and they never said they foresaw an issue doing the repairs other than it was a tall, leveled roof, but that they could do it. We decided to go with Ready2Roof based both on the cost, and the assurances we got from the roofing representative who came out to talk to us. He seemed very knowledgeable, and we felt he was trustworthy. Once materials were delivered we noticed that they looked sparse, and not to the specifications we had agreed on, but we didn't want to be the kind of people who told professional roofers how to do their jobs, we were still operating under the premise that they were trustworthy. Once the roofing "crew" showed up, we began to worry as it consisted of two men who spoke no English, and who actually didn't do a lot of work they were supposed to do. We ended up calling the company back numerous times as leaks that were initially specified at the time of the site visit were not repaired. This back-and-forth went on from May until August, whereby after many revisits and arguments, they reluctantly did some of the work they were supposed to have done initially. However, they left our roof in a very aesthetically unpleasing state, and we continue to have a leak in our kitchen (although smaller than before), but it's also spread to a new area of the kitchen, and the Ready2Roof representative we initially set up all the work through has told us that this "new" problem in the kitchen is not under warranty (even though the new leak only began after they reluctantly, and finally "fixed" or (again) attempted to fix the initial problem). In a nutshell, our experience with Ready2Roof was difficult and contentious, and we desperately wish we'd used a local roofer (even if it cost us $20,000) with a great reputation rather than taking a chance on roofers with little reputation, and who essentially only talked a good talk, but didn't deliver, and left us with a still leaking roof... not to mention the ugly aesthetic they created when they tried to remedy continued problems by removing our gutters. After many weeks of back and forth, the representative we initially ordered the work through was trying to make the whole situation our problem by saying that we had an old house that was problematic. THAT would have been good to know on the front end, in regards to their personal opinions of our roof, before we began working with them, but they never indicated anything of the sort when they were trying to get our business. They never indicated in the beginning that our roof would pose a problem they couldn't handle. Save yourself time, money and stress headaches; go with a different roofing company. We do not recommend Ready2Roof based on our terrible experience with them. Period.
