My normal hairdresser only comes into town once a month, so I bop around to different salons around…read morewhen I need a blowout. My lessons learned: blowouts have gotten EXPENSIVE, with quality at blow dry bars really varying based on who you get. Salons will always beat out a blow dry bar when I want a relaxing experience and fresh, perfectly styled hair that lasts a few days, and Oxana salon has quickly become one of my favorites for a high quality-to-value blowout. I've been a handful of times with their level 1 stylists (used to be $45, now $54 for a blowout) and their assistants (still $36 -- truly a wild price for the quality!), and the assistant blowouts here are honestly some of my favorite blowouts I've gotten in town. My personal favorite has been Justine. Incredible pressure when she massages your scalp and washes your hair, and a clean, classic style that lasts for multiple days even in this Nashville summer heat. Bonus: she actually styled my bangs correctly, which is a rarity. Callie also did a fantastic job when I came in last-minute for a birthday dinner recently, and that blowout has held up for 4 days despite the insane heat wave we've been having. The salon uses high-quality Oribe products (a personal fave), has easy parking right next to the venue, and is easy to book online in advance. Sometimes - when luck is in my side - I can even snag a same-day appointment! I'm always reluctant to spill my secrets lest my favorite spots become unbookable, but Justine and Callie are genuinely the most talented at their level I've been to in Nashville and are deserving of the recognition!

The makeup looked very stylish and simple while accentuating my beauty and covering the acne I have, which is very hard for someone to achieve from my other makeup experiences. I really appreciate how Quang worked to compliment my makeup and dress. As for the hair, I was VERY HAPPY with it. I simply told Quang that I wanted something "up", and he turned my hair from a frizzy I combed mess to something so elegant and beautiful that I could wear to my wedding! Not only did I look amazing, but Quang was also very professional. I told him that I wanted to finish by 2:00pm, so he told me to come in at 12:00, and we ended up finishing at 1:40. For someone who finds time to be very important, it was great to know beforehand about how long my makeup and hair would take. If I would give more than 5 stars I would, but I can't... I definitely would recommend Quang for any anti and makeup needs.
