That being said, this is the only barbershop I have been to where the staff doesn't listen to the customer. I for many years between 2011-2016 frequented the place asking for a specific hairstyle with a myriad of examples to accompany the task, but the dude with the muscles would always chop way too much off from the get-go, leaving me with a certainly "okay" haircut, but not what I asked for. For someone with friends in the industry, as well as some that are hairstylist, the unwritten credo to "chop light and go further if you need to" is for whatever reason, substantially lost on this particular hairsmith. If you just need a buzz, I mean, I guess it's fine? Or a simple taper, a fade; you should be good. You dare ask for anything else here, and I highly suggest you get it cut at your own risk, or even do it yourself because it will end up probably closer to what you had in mind if it doesn't fit an incredibly small window of styles that the muscle-bro can do. Suffice it say, I don't frequent here anymore; I went the last time in 2016 because I NEEDED an emergency appointment to get a haircut for the play I was in, and it was FUBAR by the time I left. A lady who didn't take my son was very rude and in a horrible mood. My son didn't move once and was very well behaved. I asked for a fade for him and this was the result. She raced through it and didn't care about details or it being the correct length. The correct word is butchered his hair. As you can see from the pictures his hair is butchered and not done right at all. You can see she didn't trim behind his ears, his neck hairs, the front is all different lengths and looks weird. Even the top of his head is all different lengths and just done soo poorly. I don't normally like to do a poor review but the fact I had to pay for this and this was the end result I had to. I want others to know before they bring their kids there or themselves. I'll continue to go to privilege in athol, Ma from now on and won't ever go here again. Sweet lady but poor expertise. If I can add photos I'll try to post updates of privilege fixing his hair.
