Instead of acknowledging the discomfort, I was reprimanded for reacting. During a routine cavity filling, my lip was cut with the drill and bled for nearly an hour. Additionally, appointments were consistently booked weeks out, making follow-up care difficult. To make matters worse, the office submitted incorrect X-rays to my insurance company, resulting in a denied claim. I later learned that the issue was simply an improper X-ray submission procedure, which delayed treatment unnecessarily. The front desk staff were also consistently unkind and dismissive. Overall, this experience was frustrating from start to finish. I hope the office improves its clinical care, administrative processes, and patient communication so others do not have a similar experience.

I'm sure that after all these years being "you" in this particular field, I'm not worried that anything is going to have changed in the last months since I "graduated" into a non-metallic smile. No, I'm certain of it as I've had the chance to witness quite a bit of care under your meticulous and rigid old school practice of orthodontics. You are very *particular* and it was very evident each visit. Yes, I noticed and I thank you for that. For a little context, nothing ever enters my mouth except good food and drink. NOTHING. My primary dentist had to almost beg me for years to do two things: (a) remove wisdom teeth and (b) get braces. Wisdom teeth finally happened almost 7 years of (suggested) *begging* and braces...well, you can thank COVID for that. It became one of the bucket list items due to the mask policy. I could *HIDE* my mouth was implemented. *HIDE* that shiny metallic smile was suddenly an option. HIDE the process was now a possible reality. So it should have been no surprise that I eventually visited your office. And you know what won me that day? The DAMON system that you actually use at your practice. Yes, I'm familiar with those wires from my MBA program. YEARS back, a classmate in the MBA program actually worked for the company in Glendora that produced these particular wires. I never forgot that speech and I knew I wouldn't go for it unless it was *these* particular wires. You had them. You were *geeked* out that I understood the molecular particulars of how they worked and why I needed them. That made the choice easy for me and I went for it. Financing was simple. Insurance was checked and a financing program was immediately handled in-house. For those who are new to this. Think car-loan made far more accessible without a ridiculous APR. In fact, how about *no* APR? Now here's the true reason they are an easy 5-star in my book besides the system that they use. It's Dr. Eisinger and his staff that made the process better for me. He won't remember this by this time with all the clients that come under him BUT I will always remember the grace and dedication that he showed me during the 1.5 year period. THANKSGIVING. Wire moved too much that it was poking into my cheeks and causing a slow bleed. I didn't want to call his cellphone as it is...thanksgiving. I called first thing Monday morning at the office (and they were closed and only open for paperwork). Angel took the call and told me they would get back to me. I waited patiently...received a call back and guess who came to fix that issue? You bet...Dr. Eisinger took care of it by coming in to make sure it stop hurting. How many doctors do you know that are like that? Six months later...same BS happened with the wires. It's simple. It's the Damon system, read up on it...the wire moves as your teeth moves and sometimes those tiny millimeters make a huge difference on how your mouth (or inner cheeks) feel. Guess who once again showed up to deal with it when they were closed (just my luck) on a Monday paperwork day? The man himself. THANK YOU. All in all, the fact is I'm really happy with how my teeth looked in comparison to where it started. It was a really fast process for an epic change. Painful as expected due to the speed that is involved but it was worth it. Special shout out to Michelle (you absolutely rock...seriously, THANK you as well... you're a god-send) and Angel (thank you for being so on-top of everything else). And of course, thank you Dr. Eisinger and staff that were involved in this whole process. Here is finally my proper review. Sorry it's late but it's truly MUCH deserved. Best wishes in 2023 and may you all remain healthy and well. (I hope you all get this thank you letter - or I'm going to print, spam, and mail it all your way.)

    Disappointed by Front Office Experience…read more The orthodontist and back staff at MBO Orthodontics in Salinas are truly great -- kind, professional, and attentive. Unfortunately, the front office experience, specifically with Alma (the receptionist), has been consistently unpleasant. On multiple occasions, she has been dismissive and rude when I've asked legitimate questions about costs and the "retainers for life" program. After paying over $2,000 for my son's treatment, I was told I needed to pay an additional $800, so naturally, I wanted clarification. Instead of a helpful explanation, I received an attitude as if I was bothering her or asking something unreasonable. Her tone, body language, and lack of patience made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable -- This is also not the first time. In the past she had been calling me "hun" or "honey" in a condescending way, which was inappropriate given her attitude when I simply had questions. Because of this, I ultimately chose not to move forward with any upgrade services this time. It's unfortunate because the clinical team is excellent, but experiences like this make a lasting impression. People remember how they're treated, especially at the start and end of care, and this interaction really overshadowed an otherwise great experience. I also get it, it's hard working in customer service but it's not right to treat anyone this way or even just a few people (like me and others once in a while). I really hope MBO Salinas calls me to validate my concerns and maybe answer questions I was left unanswered because I still don't understand the service I am still interested in and need.

I had no out of pocket expenses and the device fit well and worked well. No complaints. Fast forward and my device is no longer fitting well. Contacting her office to have it looked at and potentially repaired or replaced resulted in a back and forth exchange to obtain my insurance cards, if I was willing to pay $3500 for a new one, and doctor referrals. Multiple reminders of , "can we please just look at it first," fell on deaf ears. All of this before I could secure an appointment! Finally, the office agreed to a consultation to look at my device before deciding if it could be adjusted or needed replacement. They then requested $150 before MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. When I balked at this as a returning patient, more confusion ensued as they seemed to forget they were the one that provided the original device. Finally, they stated they wanted my credit card, "to hold the number, just in case," before making the appointment and "promised" not to charge it. At this point I declined, advised them I would seek another provider, and recommended they change how they do business. This is not how you treat patients.

I have…read morelost 4 friends & family ; my grandfather ,an uncle ,an attorney friend and another friend to sleep apnea.It is an insidious malady that people do not know they have and not always weight dependant, my chiropractor is toned and maybe 105 pounds and she has sleep apnea.Not having REM sleep means never recharging your mind and like having a newborn child sleep deprivation ruins many marriages prematurely.Follow up 2017 the weight loss was diabetes.The dr refused after a second sleep study to prescribe a C-Pap machine.The reports are signed by somebody the staff doesn't know where.So she is not really sleep dr certificated?,Her true motivation is selling oral devices to stop Apnea for 3500.00 approx w/ sleep study costs (2)which doubled in a year.Very successful lady.I liked her professionalism until I asked 4x for a mini- C-pap prescription.Her sleep studies are signed by an un-named doctor with no address and nothing verifiable no license number nada. she has sold her practice and if continuing sleep health work she must sort this out as her staff were nervous when i made multiple inquires.She does charge 40+% more for cleanings than City Dental in Salinas Dr Kim my oral surgeon USC graduate and really ethical.
